Morning Mischief

☀️ Breakfast at Mehra House Rudra sat at the dining table, spooning cereal into his mouth, while his mom fussed with the toast. “Rudra, don’t forget your sandwich for lunch today,” she said, adjusting his collar. “Mom, I’m seventeen going on forever,” Rudra replied lazily, smirking. “Forever seventeen, maybe. But don’t act like a gangster in my kitchen!” she shot back, tapping his shoulder lightly. Rudra grinned, taking a sip of milk. “No promises.” At that moment, Dev arrived, backpack slung over one shoulder. “Morning, boss,” he said, giving Rudra a small salute. “Morning,” Rudra replied, not looking up. Dev peered at the breakfast spread. “Wow… a rare sight — you actually eat cereal without complaining.” Rudra shrugged. “Don’t make it weird.” His mom laughed. “Ignore him, Dev. At least he’s eating.” 🏍️ Ride to College By 8:30, the three of them were on Rudra’s bike, heading to Silverwood College. Kabir and Aman joined later at the campus entrance. “Boss, you’re smiling,” Kabir teased as Rudra parked. “Something happened?” Rudra tried to mask it. “Nothing. Just… thinking.” Aman snorted. “Thinking about breakfast, maybe?” Rudra rolled his eyes. “You’re impossible.” Kabir leaned closer, grinning. “C’mon, admit it. That girl from yesterday — the fan girl?” Rudra froze for a split second, hiding it with a cough. “She’s… not important.” Aman laughed so hard he almost fell off his chair. “Not important! Dude, your face just betrayed you.” Dev shook his head, amused. “Ten bucks says you’ll talk about her all day.” Rudra groaned, muttering, “You three are hopeless.” Kabir winked. “Hopelessly observant.” Aanya’s Bold Move Meanwhile, Aanya was walking through the campus courtyard, her sketchbook clutched to her chest. She spotted Jiya and the other friends chatting by the benches. “I need to meet him again,” she whispered to herself, taking a deep breath. Jiya raised an eyebrow. “Him? Rudra Mehra?” “Yes,” Aanya said, a little smile forming. “I want to see him — properly this time.” Jiya smirked. “Oh wow… you really mean it. Bold girl. Okay, we’ll help you.” Aanya nodded. “Thanks. Just… make sure I get a chance to talk to him.” Jiya laughed. “You got it. Let’s go plan this.” 🏫 College Arrival Rudra tried to act unaffected as he walked into the college courtyard, friends flanking him like always. But Kabir, Aman, and Dev weren’t letting him off easy. “Seriously, boss, you’re glowing. Are you sure your aura isn’t broken?” Kabir teased. Rudra rolled his eyes, pretending annoyance. “Shut up.” “Or maybe your fan girl sent you secret love notes,” Aman added, grinning. Rudra’s jaw tightened. “You guys are impossible,” he muttered. Dev just chuckled. “Some things never change. You’re human, Rudra. Admit it.” Despite his friends’ teasing, Rudra kept walking, trying to look indifferent — unaware that somewhere across the courtyard, Aanya was watching, planning her move, excitement bubbling in her chest.
