"What's happening?" I asked, my voice filled the space in the car as I leaned forward and squinted my eyes to get a closer look at the men and the car that blocked the road. At first I thought an accident happened until I saw Beta Easton.
I turned to Axel, wondering if he had already noticed that alpha Nathan was trying to stop us from leaving the pack. Axel jaw twists in anger, and his grip around the wheel tightens.
The document that I have been waiting for has already been legally processed; Axel and I are supposed to leave the pack today. I say supposed to because from what was ahead of us, it didn't look like we could leave anytime soon, like planned.
