She leveled her piercing gaze at me, I had prepared for the worst being late to the date and all but she was really mad at me right now, I could see it in the way her eyes blazed when she looked at me. I was practically walking on eggshells, trying to choose a perfect moment to speak to her.
I couldn't hold her gaze. I looked away at nothing in particular, the main aim being to avoid getting her more aggravated than she already was. Was I ever going to get a chance to explain myself if she remained so hostile?
