Kyls POV I leaned back in my office chair, the city skyline stretching out behind me like a cold, glittering lie. The kind I’d spent my life mastering. A half-empty glass of scotch sat untouched on my desk, sweating onto the leather coaster. I didn’t want it. It wasn’t comfort, it was habit.
