Leaning back against the headrest I closed my eyes trying to block out the empty ache that was filling my heart.
‘We will get her back Brandon’ came the voice in my head.
‘Who are you?’ I asked nervously.
‘I am Brice, your Beta grade wolf’ Brice replied, his voice strong and earthy.
‘Beta?’ I asked silently within my mind, ‘are you sure?’
Brice laughed, a low growling rumble that echoed around my skull, ‘I’m very sure Brandon, we were born to be a warrior, we are stronger than pretty much the whole pack, only an Alpha can make us submit.’
‘Like Lily’ I replied with a small smile.
‘Yes, I can feel her wolf, she is very strong, we will do well to keep her with us, she can help us retrieve Elise.’ Brice replied determinedly.
‘She loves Elise too, she will help us’ I promised as Brice
