On a nondescript Wednesday morning, Holly glanced over at an empty desk as she set her things down. Normally, she wouldn’t think of it, and just assume that Alisha was running late. Except this particular morning, she was very late herself because of a sick kid. She had been cleaning up puke since early morning. She waited for her husband to get back home after his early meeting so she could then leave herself and go into work. It was now 10 in the morning and there was still another employee that hadn’t come in yet.
