The next morning, Jade sat at Jake and Emmett’s table with all four of the men. Breakfast had been picked up by Jake on his way home from his shift. After some quick showers they sat together to eat. Mitch and Emmett were going to go see a prosecutor that Mitch knows. The meeting with the prosecutor was going to be a discussion about what they can to go about charging Lance and how to protect Jade legally. Adam was going with Jade to her ortho appointment. Jake hadn’t said what he was going to do that morning. On that thought, Jade looked over at Jake. She was taken aback by the expression on his face. Without stopping to think, Jade immediately spoke. “Jake, what’s wrong?!” Jake jerked as he was yanked from being deep in thought. He looked over at Jade with a guilty expression on
