Jake sat in the back seat of the car while the three of them drove back to the house from the prosecutor. When they were almost to his and Emmett’s house, Mitch broke the silence in the car. “Jake, how did you know about the chemical and boiling water being,” Mitch paused, swallowed hard as he tried to say the next word, “used.” He continued, “We were all there when the GYN and Spencer spoke to Jade after her MRI’s.
