We started to build a routine here, the familiar sights of our surroundings becoming etched in my mind. This was not our permanent home, but a place where we would always be welcome in the future. As the days passed, I felt a growing sense of confidence, like a sturdy tree rooted in the ground. I could feel the strength within me growing.
I was now comfortable being with others when River was not present. He was busy here, and I was busy as well. Raven spent a lot of time with me, as did some of the she wolves here. This was only possible after River made sure I was safe with them. They helped me train more and taught me about pack life.
