Jaselyn's POV
After what went down in Zane's office, I'm glad that he actually left the palace. The only pitfall being that Rion went with him. I heard that they were visiting another Pack for a very important meeting with the Alpha. I'm not sure of the details.
Before they left, a lot of people went to see them off but of course I stayed back. I would prefer not to see Zane ever again if I could help it. But at the same time, I felt bad for not being able to say goodbye to Rion. I would surely miss his company in the time that he's gone.
It's the second day since their departure and I wake up with a pain in my lower abdomen. It's only a slight discomfort so I decided to dismiss it but I can't seem to get rid of the anxiety steadily building up within me.
