Zane's POV
Arriving at the door of Jaselyn's room, I found myself hesitating just a bit. Would it be the right time to be with Jaselyn, especially after my encounter with Isla?
My desire to see her seemed to outweigh every other thought as I pushed the door open and went in anyway.
Nae was talking with Jaselyn but she promptly excused herself at my arrival.
“Have you had something to eat yet? It's almost time to take your medicine.” I began, smoothing my hand over my hair.
“I'm not very hungry yet but I'll tell Nae to have something made eventually.” She said in an almost bored tone.
“You know you shouldn't skip your medicine. It's important that—”
