I keep hurting Sean when I scare. I keep grabbing him too roughly, too tightly, not controlling myself enough. I’m not sure, but somehow, I’m really bad at hiding my vampiric instincts around him. It scares me.
It scares me each time it happens. I don’t want to lash out again, my instincts taking over, but I don’t know how to prevent it. His touch, it just sets something off, and I don’t know what to do about it.
During my walk around the block, I realised that I just didn’t know how to solve all this. Sean’s questions pulled on something raw inside me. Even though he doesn’t know what exactly is going on, he keeps reading me, he keeps asking questions that I don’t want to answer. He keeps poking where it hurts, and that’s scary.
