“It was a pleasure. I’d like to help further if there is a need.”
“I think everything is covered here. If you’re waiting for orders, let me give you this one: Rest, relax and recover.”
A cheeky expression appeared on his face, and she laughed.
He took a deep breath. “You do have an amazing bird song, Princess. But … I should probably try to sleep so that you can go home.” The thought embraced her and she leaned into it, absorbing his presence as much as she could.
