“I am your sister”, Eva said, looking her right in the eyes. Soon as I heard that word my eyes got big. “What do you mean you are my sister? I don't have any other family”, Blossom said, not sure if she could believe her. Eva was not surprised that Blossom said that. She does not know them at all. Her mom left when she was not even born.
See there is something Blossom does not know about herself. She is a very special girl. She also does not know that her life is about to change. She is and always has been a werewolf. Since she did not grow up with them or near them, she never got her powers as fast as she should have. She was always around humans, so she never got to see her real self. Her mom ran away when she found out she was having a girl. Every parent just wants their child to have a normal life. And that is what Miss. Oak did.
Blossom was not saying anything to them. She was just standing there looking at the girl. “How are you, my sister? Prove it”, Blossom said. Eva took a sight and pulled something out of her pocket. She held it out to Blossom. Blossom took what looked to be a picture of her mom with a big group of people.
“Who are all these people with my mom”, Blossom said, looking back up at Eva. Eva smiled at her, “They are all family. The two that are closest to your mom are her parents. The one on her right arm is her brother. And the rest are cousins or friends or still kinda family”, Eva said, pointing to every single person in the picture. Blossom looked at the picture for a long time. It was most definitely her mom in the picture. “Who is the one with the arm around my mom on the left? The one with black hair”, Blossom said, pointing him out in the picture. Eva looked at the picture and her smile died down. “That is your father”, Eva said, with a sad look on her face. Blossom’s eyes went wide again when she heard the word father.
Blossom had to sit down now. She pulled out the chair and sat down next to Eva. She was not sure what to think about all of this. “Why are you just coming to me now with this information? Why not when I was five years old or ten years old”, Blossom said. “Well, we all wanted to see you, Blossom. But your mom would not let us. She hid you from us for eighteen years. Until one day we got a note at our front door”, Eva said as Blossom looked at her. “What note can I see? I want to read this note”, Blossom said.
Eva was not sure if she should let her read the note just yet. “I am not sure that is a good thing right now. Maybe after we get to know you and you meet the family, then you can read it. There are a few things we need to talk about first”, Eva said as Blossom raised a brow at her. “Like what, what things do we need to talk about”, she said.
Eva stood up, “This is not the place to talk about that. Plus, you need to finish school first. How about after school, I will come to pick you up and we can go have dinner and talk to each other about all this”, Eva said, getting her bag and going to stand up. Blossom nodded her head to agree with her. “I get out at 2:00 pm. I will meet you at the front door near the flag pool. And we will eat at a place called White Rose”, Blossom said, getting her backpack and standing up. “That is fine with me. I will see you then. Have a good day. And thank you for setting this up. I will start school tomorrow if that is OK”, Eva said, looking at the principal. The principal nodded his head yes.
Eva said goodbye to Blossom and they both left the office at the same time but went in opposite ways. Blossom went to all of her classes that day. But she could not focus on any of them. The only thing she could think about was that she had a sister she didn’t even know about. The other question in her mind was, why did her mom not tell her she had other family members?
When the school day was done, Blossom went and waited by the front door near the flange pool for her sister to come to get her. As she sat there waiting for her sister she was still trying to put her head around this. After about fifteen minutes, a black SUV pulled up in front of her. The person in the car rolled down the window, and that was when she saw her sister sitting and waiting for her.
Her sister told her to get in the car and she got into the passenger seat. Blossom looked over at her sister. “Are you ready to hear why I am here”, Eva said, keeping her eyes on the road. Blossom nodded her head as Eva drove out of the school parking lot.
