Chapter 4, Family

After Blossom was done talking with her sister the day before. She went home and got ready for bed so she would have a good sleep for, the interesting day that will be tomorrow. It was about 8:00 am when Blossom got up and got dressed. Her dad was out working late he didn’t come home because he did a night shift.

She made some eggs and toast with some butter while having some orange juice to drink. When she was done eating, she waited for her sister to come and pick her up. Yes, her sister was coming to the house. But dad wasn’t home, so I didn’t need to worry about it. It was at about 9:30 pm. When she finally heard the doorbell ring. She smiled a little bit at being able to see what her real dad looks like in person. Blossom walked over to the door and opened it. Eva was standing there wearing some skinny jeans with a crop top and a zip-up sweatshirt. “Hey, you good to go”, Eva said. Blossom smiled at her sister and got her coat and went out the door, following Eva to the car parked in her driveway.

As they were driving to the house her family lived in, Blossom could not find anything to say to Eva. She just looked out the window and listened to some music along the way. Halfway to the house, Eva started to talk to her. “So I know that all of this is new to you. We will try to go slow and not give you too much. Do not be afraid to tell us if you need to stop or if we are overloading your brain, tell us. We do not want to overwhelm you with it”, Eva said. Blossom just nodded her head and went back to looking out the window.

Blossom could start to see the house come into view. Some were small and others were big. They all looked so nice and colorful. That was until she saw the biggest house she had ever seen. It was bigger than all the others she saw on the way there. Eva pulled into a driveway and stopped at a big gate. She talked to some man that was standing out front. Eva told him her name and gave him Blossom’s name as well. The man stepped aside and the gate was starting to open. When it was all the way open Eva drove through the gate.

As they were driving up the long driveway, Blossom could see some people out walking or kids playing with other kids. It looked like a very nice place. “Is everyone that lives here a werewolf”, Blossom said as Eva looked at her and shook her head, yes. Eva gave her a weak smile because of that. As they pulled up in front of a nice-looking house. Blossom could only think of one thing. How much would it cost to have a house like this? She wonders how they could live in this house. But they must need all the room they can get.

They parked the car in front of the big house. “This is the packhouse that all of our family live in. And where the alpha is as well. Eva turned off the engine of the car and open her door. Blossom took a breath in then she opened her door and stepped out of the car. She was more expecting big hugs from people. But she will not complain about it.

Eva walked to her side, “Are you ready to do this”, she said. Blossom was not sure anymore. But she knows she will have to do it at some point in her life. So why not get it over with? “Yeah, let’s do this. Before I try to run away”, Blossom said. Eva took Blossom’s hand and pulled her to the front door. The door was way taller than she was. She had to look up in order to see the top of the door.

The door opens and there standing were two people. Blossom could remember who they were when Eva showed her the picture. They can out with smiles on their faces. “Hello there”, the lady said. Blossom gave them both smiles. “Hi”, she manages to say. “Blossom, this is Sara your step-grandma, he found her a while after your mom’s, mom dies, and this is Tom your grandpa”, Eva said, pointing to each one as she said their names. Blossom nodded her head at them. “It is so nice to finally meet you”, Tom said. “Yeah same here”, Blossom said.

Then she heard footsteps coming to the door. Five little kids appeared from behind her mom’s parents. “Blossom these are your five little cousins. You have Colin, Dylan, Alex, Luck, and Katty. “Hello there”, they all said. Blossom got down at Katty’s leave and gave her a smile. “Is that your favorite teddy bear”, Blossom said, while Katty shook her head yes. “Does it have a name”, Blossom said as Katty shrugged her shoulder. “How about Sam”, Blossom said. Katty smiled at Blossom and shook her head yes. Then Blossom moved on to the next kid which was Luck. “Let’s see I bet you have a favorite car and the car is blue”, Blossom said. Luck’s face had a surprised expression on it. “Yes I do and I hope to get a car just like it when I am older”, he said while Blossom smiled down at the cute little boy. “I bet if you tell/ask your mom for it a lot more time it might come true when you get older”, Blossom said.

As Blossom went to each kid and was talking to them Tom and Sara just had a big smiles on their face. Eva liked that she was good with the little ones. Then she heard a deep voice talking as it came to the door. “Sara who is at the door”, he said. Sara looked back at him and smile. “You might want to come to see for yourself”, Sara said. He walked to the door, and as soon as he saw her face he know who she was. “Blossom”, Jason said. Blossom smiled and waved at her father. “Hi dad”, she said. Jason could not believe what he was seeing. For the first time, he was actually seeing his daughter for the first time in person. “Jason, why don't we go and sit in the living room and we can get to know Blossom a little bit more”, Sara said.

Jason turned his head to Sara. “Yes, please. I would like that”, he said. Tom and Sara lead the way to the living room with Jason following behind them. Eva was walking next to Blossom, guiding her to the living room. When Blossom walked into the house it had some pictures on the wall with some good decorations as well. It was not overdone or too undone. It had the right colors for the wall as well. A little bit of red and blue with some black and white.

Tom and Sara sat in two chairs across from the couch. While Eva, Blossom, and Jason sat on the couch. Blossom did not know what to say. Jason just could not stop looking at his beautiful daughter. “So Blossom you in school”, Tom said, as he saw Blossom shake her head yes. “I am in Rosewater jr school. I am passing all of my classes”, Blossom said. Tom and Sara were doing most of the talking and asking most of the questions. Jason was just sitting listening to them talk.

After a while, Sara looked over at Jason. “Jason, is everything alright? You have barely said a word over there”, Sara said, looking over at Jason. “Yeah, I am fine just trying to prosper it all”, he said. After a few more minutes, Blossom heard someone coming down the stairs. When Blossom looked over at the stairs she saw a very handsome boy standing there. He has dark green eyes with blond hair. He had on black jeans with a dark blue v-shirt. He had a few tattoos you could see on his arms and maybe his chest a little.

He did not look up until Sara told him to come to meet someone. He looked up and that was when he saw her pretty face just sitting there on the couch. It took a few minutes, but then Blossom starts to feel something. She started to smell something so good in the air. Then she could feel her palms getting sweaty, felt the power within her. “Steven comes and meets Blossom”, Tom said.

Steven was taken out of his thoughts. Then he heard another voice talking to him. He did not take his eyes off of her as he walked down the stairs and over to stand in between the two chairs. He did not say anything he just keeps on looking right at Blossom. “Eva saw that Blossom looked a little pale and uncomfortable. “Blossom are you, ok”, Eva said. Blossom was pulled out of her thought and looked over at Eva. “Um, I am not sure, I feel so hot all of a sudden”, Blossom said.

Steven, we want you to meet Blossom. She is Jason’s daughter. Blossom, this is Steven. He is the alpha of this pack”, Tom said. Steven looked at Tom for a brief moment then looked over at Blossom. He walked over to Blossom and stood in front of her. He extended an arm out to Blossom. She did the same and extended an arm out to Steven. But then something happened. Soon as Blossom’s hand made contact with Steven's.

Steven smelled the different sent in the room. That was when he knows what she meant to him...
