Chapter 13, The Aftermath

I inched open my eyes, gazing at the window the sun was shining into. The curtains blew gently, dancing with the wind that swam into the open window. An arm was wrapped tightly around my hips, keeping me from moving even the slightest. I smiled, blushing from the arms that belong to the amazing owner of them.

I eased my way out of his grip, and ran over to his dresser, I pulled out a t-shirt and a pair of the smallest shorts I could find which still were too big. I pulled my hair up in a ponytail and ran out and down the steps toward the kitchen. I walked in, stopping instantly when I saw who was in there. I noticed Eva, Jason, Sara, Tom, and Roman. They were all staring at me.

“Um-uh good morning?” I mumbled. I was a little embarrassed that they know about it. “Hey kiddo nice to see you”, Tom smirked as he began eating his bowl of cereal. “Hey?” I tugged at my shirt nervously. I walked in and pulled out a bowl and spoon. I sat on a stool next to Roman and Eva, allowing them to pour me some apple jacks and milk.

I did not care anymore that they did not get to see me grow up. I still like them and they are my family now. Besides, who else can eat cereal surrounded by their own mythical creatures? My dad and grandparents had finished up their cereal and walked out the back door and change into their wolves. I had to get used to my Sara and Tom shifting still. Even though they look old they still can move freely a lot.

“Sooo...fun night?” Eva asked. I began blushing again my cheeks burning with embarrassment as I smiled ear to ear. “It was-. It was f*****g amazing”, I admitted. “I could tell by the glow on you”. I smiled again. This guy has a hold on me. He’s got me going crazy. He was sexy, sweet, funny, and did I say sexy? Thinking of him was turning me on again.

“Just be prepared”, Eva smiled.

“For what?”

“Well, he’s going to want to do you...a lot.”

“Well, what do you consider a lot?”

“Well, when was the last time you guys had s*x?” Eva questioned.

“Last night,” Blossom whispered.

“Then he should be looking for you very, very soon. He waited so long that he’s going crazy,” she winked. “Don't worry, it will pass. Probably.” I went to ask her what she went through with her mate, but a woman came that I have not seen before. She had blond hair with light green eyes. She looks like I know her, but I know that I have not seen her. Eva looked at her and ran to her as she said her name, Katie. I looked at Eva like she had to head. When they were done hugging Eva looked at me.

She smiled and said “Katie, I want you to meet Blossom. She is my sister. Blossom, I would like you to meet Steven’s mom”, Eva said, with a smile. My face falls when I heard what Eva said. My eyes got wide because this is not how I would want her to meet me. I went to say something but then I heard another voice behind me. I turned to see Steven walking into the kitchen, his eyes locked on nothing but me.

Until his mom said something he just stood there looking at me. He looked at his mom and gave her a smile. He walked over to give her a hug. “Hi mom, how have you been? It’s been a while since I have seen you”, Steven said. She smiled at him and said, “Yes it has. I thought I would come to see how everyone was and see how we were doing. But it seems that you are doing fine. Why did you not call me to tell me the good news”, Katie said.

Her son raised an eyebrow at her. “What do you mean what news?” he said. Katie put her hands on her hips and pointed a finger at Steven. “Why did you not call me or your dad and tell us you found your mate”, she said. Steven looked down at the floor and rubbed his neck in a nervous way. “I am sorry mom, I have been a little busy with my mate. It is a long story, but I know we will tell you it at some point”, Steven said. Katie smiled at him and kissed his forehead. “Yes, you will tell me about it. But first, let me say hi to her”, Katie said.

Steven walked over to me and put out his hand. I took it and he pulled me to my feet. We both walked over to his mom and he told her “mom this is Blossom she is new to some of this”, Steven said. I did not know what to do or what to say. I just stood there like a dear caught in the headlights. Katie was smiling at me. She leaned down to my ear and said “Don't worry I don't mind talking about my son. He is amazing in what he does, also I know you are his mate because you are small like him. Which could only mean one thing? But I am not mad about it, so chill out”, Kaite said. I was blinking my eyes, that was the only thing I could do.

She heard I and Eva talking about her son and me having s*x last night. Oh no, what if she thinks I am a slot? “Miss. I can usher you that I am not like that all the time”, Blossom said. “Mom, don’t embarrass Blossom, she is a good mate. And I love her with all my heart”, Steven said. Blossom looked over at Steven. That was the first time that he used the word love. “I am not trying to embarrass her dear. I am just telling her the facts. Do not worry, every mate has to go through it, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. Just make sure to get me two grandkids”, Katie said.

Steven narrowed his eyes at his mom. “Yes mom, I know that is what you told me my whole life. Don't worry one day you will have your grandkids maybe just not this soon”, Steven said, kissing Blossom’s temples. Blossom did not say anything to him or his mom. She does get where his mom is coming from, but Steven is right maybe not just yet right now.

Blossom was lost in her thoughts thinking. I did not think his parents were alive. He never talks about them and I have not seen a picture of them yet. But also the question is why is he not living with them. Would it be his pack that he would be alpha for? So why is he here in this pack? She was not sure what is going on but she knows that something is a little off. She does want to know what but is not sure she should really ask him about it.

Back to reality, After Blossom met his mom she went back up to their room. She was in her thoughts again, so she did not hear Steven come in. She felt arms wrap around her waist. And felt lips on her neck living soft kisses on it. “I did not hear you come in, you have to stop doing that”, she said. Steven smiled at her, “You zoomed out again. Where did you go now”, Steven said. She turned around to face him. He looked her in the eyes asking her to go on. “Why have I not heard or even seen a picture of your parents”, Blossom said, as Steven’s smile faded a little bit.

“It is a long story, but don't worry about it. Everything is fine”, Steven said. “I have time, I am not going anywhere”, Blossom said, going and sitting on the bed patting the spot next to her. Steven looked at her raising a brow at her. “Come on, if I am going to be with you I would like to know all about you. So tell me what happens”, Blossom said. Steven walked over and sat next to her.

He did not say anything at first. He just sat there taking in a deep breath. Blossom put her hand on his back rubbing it softly. He looked into her eyes. He did not want her to leave him. “Blossom, can you tell me something first”, Steven said as she shook her head yes. “Was last night your first time”, Steven said, looking her in the eyes. She looked away from him, looking anywhere but at him. “Steven”...she said, taking in a breath. As she let it out she looked back at him. “Yes, it was my first time. Now, why are you asking me this,” she said, looking away.

Steven took her head in his hands making her look at him. “Baby, I was not always like this. Ever since I was properly ten years old, I always wanted it. I did not open my eyes until one of my ex-girlfriends said something to me. Blossom, I was a manhole. I was always having s*x with someone. Well, my parents were not happy with it. Of course, they know. I did not care who know and who did not. So at some point, my parents told me, that if I don’t stop then they were going to kick me out. That is what they did, they took everything away from me.

They kicked me out of the pack and told me to either stop or they will never see me again. Well, I still did not care so I went someone off on my own. Still having fun, till one girl came along. She made me open my eyes. I started to turn my way around. Because, I did not want my mate to know that, that was the only thing on my mind. I did not want her to have to see me like that, but I also did not want her to feel the pain. But Blossom, I am not like that anymore, I love you and you are the one for me. I want you to know that I will never want to hurt you", Steven said, holding her hands in his.

Blossom was just looking at Steven. “Blossom”...Blossom was not sure what to say to him. She was not sure if she should just let the past be the past or does she think that one day he will go back to being the guy he was before he changed.

Steven was getting scared that she was not saying anything to him. After a while of Blossom just standing there, she finally moved and sat down on the bed. Steven went and sat next to her. “Blossom will you say something you are scaring me”, Steven said, looking at her. She turned her head to Steven. “I don't really have anything to say. But I know that I trust you. And if you do try and go back to that Steven just know that I will not be giving up on you. Even if you think I did, deep down I have not. So will you stop worrying about it? I am not going anywhere for a long time”, Blossom said.

Steven smiled at what she said. “Thanks, baby. It means a lot to me”, Steven said leaning in to kiss her cheek. “Hey, can I ask you something”, Blossom said. Steven shook his head yes. “How did you come to my dad’s pack”, Bella said. “I think you need to talk to your sister about that one. She was kinda part of it”, Steven said. Blooms told him, "Ok". When they were done talking about Steven’s past, Blossom went to take a shower. Of course, Steven tried to get her to let him join, but she was not having it.

Blossom was sitting in the bathtub with her eyes closed just relaxing. When the door opens. “Steven, I told you no. get out”, Blossom said as she heard someone laughing. That was when she finally opened her eyes to see that it was not Steven. Instead, it was her sister leaning on the door frame. “What do you want, I am trying to relax”, Blossom said, closing her eyes again. “Well for one, I did not think you would take the news so well, but nice job, I might have done the same but if my mate was the same”, Eva said. Blossom opened her eyes to look at her sister. “How come you have not found your mate yet”, Blossom said with a raised eyebrow.

“I am not sure, maybe I don't have one. I hope I do though”, Eva said with a smile. Blossom laughs at her sister for being too happy. “I think you do you just have not met or found him yet. Just kept trying. I know you will find him at some point,” Blossom told her sister with a small smirk on her face. Eva left the door and went back to whatever she was doing before, which was training...

So in chapter 10 at the end of it Bruce said to himself ‘But for some reason, she smelled a little different to him. There was something a little off about her. But he could not put his finger on it. I saw one comment saying are they mates. Well no, they are not the reason why he smelled it when Blossom was close to him. Was because she has been around her sister; plus since they are sisters they are closer to each other so he could since Eva through Blossom. I hope you get what I mean by this. And I just want to tell you how I did that or came up with the idea to make you guess who it really was.
