Personal Preference Following the Teutonic May dances, the remainder of my summer in München fell quickly into a routine. I began to work for my father as his personal assistant on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, storing the extra money I earned in my savings account. I spent most of my free time at the house, lying outside working on my tan on the expansive back deck, swimming in the pool, or enjoying peaceful walks in the shade of our gardens and woods. I practiced the organ at home and at the Frauenkirche and Alter Peter. I also went roller blading around München with my Teuton girlfriends, and sometimes we would stop at one of the many cafés as a group to chat about events in our lives. At one of these gatherings, Erika pulled me aside to ask whether she could visit my house by hers
