Alaric must have noticed the embarrassment and unease on my face because he persisted and asked me to tell him what had happened.
"Alina, please. What did Juliet say to you?" he asked, his voice gentle but insistent.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to share Juliet's private life with him. But the concern in his eyes made me reconsider. Perhaps he might offer some advice or help. I took a deep breath and decided to tell Alaric what had happened.
"Juliet... I found some bruises on her body and she told me that the bruises were from, um, playful activities between her and Caspian. They're into b**m," I explained, my cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "She was afraid to tell me because she didn’t want me to misunderstand."
