Chapter 1: The Wedding That Changed Everything The wind howled through the towering pine trees, carrying with it a strange scent that made Anna's heart race. She stood at the edge of the grand estate, her fingers trembling as she stared at the ancient mansion before her. It was far larger than any home she had ever seen, yet something about it felt... alive. "Welcome home, Luna." The deep voice belonged to Richard Brody, the man she had married only hours ago. Tall, broad-shouldered, and impossibly handsome, he watched her with piercing golden eyes that seemed to glow in the fading evening light. Anna forced a nervous smile. She still couldn't believe how quickly her life had changed. Just weeks ago, she was an ordinary country girl struggling to make ends meet. Then a gang of thugs attacked her one rainy night, and Richard appeared out of nowhere, fighting them off with unbelievable strength. From that night, nothing was ever the same. As the mansion's enormous doors creaked open, dozens of people stepped into view. Men, women, and children stood in complete silence, their eyes fixed on Anna. Some smiled warmly. Others looked at her with open suspicion. An elderly woman slowly approached. "So," she said, circling Anna as though inspecting her, "this is the human our Alpha chose." Anna swallowed hard. Human? Before she could ask what the woman meant, a deafening howl echoed through the forest. One by one, every member of the family turned toward the sound. Their eyes flashed a brilliant gold. Anna froze. Then she saw it. looked at her with regret. "I wantSharp claws slowly emerged from Richard's fingertips. His jaw tightened, and long, razor-like fangs slid into place. "Richard..." she whispered, taking a frightened step back. Heed to tell you after the wedding," he said quietly. "But now... it's too late." The ground shook beneath her feet as another terrifying howl filled the night. Anna had married into a family that wasn't human. She had married into a family of werewolves.
