New school, new life!

403 Words
It was the day I was waiting for, the day that would start my new life, my chosen field and my future. This is the day that I thought of the start of my dreams but also the start of not ending study, learning and challenges. The night ended and the morning came. It was a very calm and quiet morning. The wind blows into my face and says “this is it!” I wear the shirt and pants that I prepared last night. My mom was in the kitchen preparing for our breakfast when I was about to leave she shouted and said “ You can do it my son”. Finally, I stepped up and went to my new home, Lyceum-Northwestern University. I walked around and found my first room. Then I saw my new classmates. None of them were familiar, there were all new faces in my eyes. This started my mix of mixed emotions of happiness about meeting new people, sad to let go of my high school friends, nervous about my new teachers and excited about how my life would turn. The class starts with the old tradition, telling you about yourself. It is a big help because, after that, I feel more comfortable. Later on, I found new friends. Then I realized that college friends are almost the same as high school friends. I consider college life as a new life because I want to live a life far from my high school life. Actually, I didn’t enjoy my high school life because of competitions. I ran for the class valedictorian that time. I got ranked number one in the first and third grading periods, but, unfortunately, I did not accomplish my goal for some reasons. I just realize in the end that I didn’t enjoy realized high school life, even if many will say that it was the best. I ruined one of the most important parts of my life because of that useless competition. Because of what happened, I promise myself that I will not put myself under pressure again and I will enjoy every hour in my everyday life. Now that I am a college student, I enjoy my life, but I also haven’t forgotten my studies. Now I realize that I can have fun while studying…and now I am truly content with my life now.
