That hate in you set the mark off, took me straight to you, so take your licks!” He coiled himself up then sprang across the room like a beast. Jaws seizing on Azhur’s neck, claws ripping at chest and shoulder. The sheer mass of writhing muscle was far beyond him. And then Tyr did the bravest, stupidest thing he could have done and flung himself on the human beast. Authran followed, trying to grip the powerful flanks before being kicked away. Tyr hung on, hitting at the evil head, trying to tear it away, scratching at the eyes and face. There seemed to be a flash of light and words entered his mind from far away.
