I was running around the diner like normal, waiting tables and taking orders. I kept looking at the clock. I had to pick up my brother from school soon. But my shift doesn't end for another 7 hours. Maybe someone can cover for me? I shook my head at the silly thought, no way someone would cover for me. I started to growl a little and the plates on the table next to me started to shake. I took a deep breath, and calmed down. If someone found out I was an Alpha, the Pack's leaders would hang me for sure! I kept running around and hardly caught a break. Once my shift at the diner was over, I rushed home. Luckily, my brother was sound asleep on the couch. It was almost midnight. "God I'm so tired" I mumbled as I slumped into my bedroom and into the shower. I quickly got a shower and then got ready for bed. It didn't take me long to pass out. When I woke up, my brother was walking in the room with a cup cake and a single lit candle. "Happy 18th Birthday Emma!" he said as he handed me the cup cake. "It's my birthday?" I asked, taking the cup cake from him. "Wow you must really be tired." He said. I shrugged. I blew out my candle and plopped the candle on my nightstand. "What time did you get in last night?" He asked. I rubbed my head, "Eathan, I got in around midnight. Sorry I couldn't pick you up yesterday." He shrugged, "No biggie, I got a ride with a friend. Anyway, are you excited?" He asked and I looked at him confused. He scoffed, "To find your mate?!" I groaned, "right I forgot. I'm so exhausted bub." He gave me a soft smile, "I hope he's kind." I scoffed, "as if. Everyman I have met has treated me like dirt. My mate won't be any different." He sighed, "I'm sorry you feel that way. But hey, I don't have school and you don't have work for another 6 hours. Let's celebrate." I smiled, "what do you have in mind?" I asked and he yanked me out of bed and into the living room. There was a jacket and some ice skates on the table. "Ice skating. You used to love it when we were kids. I already have mine packed." I smiled, "You are the best little brother any one could ask for." I said as I gave him a hug. "Alright, let me get dressed real quick." I said. I hurried to my room and threw on some sweat pants and a tank top. I went out and put on the jacket and grabbed the skates. As I was heading out the door, I threw on my sandals. I smiled as I climbed into the car and we drove to the ice rink. We knew the owner, so we got in for free. Once we entered, it was almost completely empty. Just a little girl trying to get her balance. Where were her parents? I thought as I slid on my skates. Once I stepped on the ice, I felt like flying. I was skating so fast everything became a blur. I slowed down when I saw the little girl sitting in the middle crying. I slowly made my way over to her. "Are you okay sweetie?" I asked and she shook her head. "Are you hurt?" I asked and she shook her head. "What's wrong?" I asked and she looked at me trying to wipe her tears. "I'm scared to skate on my own." She said. My heart hurt for this little girl. "That's okay. I was too." "Really?!" She asked, all suprised. "But you were flying on the ice." I chuckled, "that's because I have been practicing for a really long time. Who are you here with?" I asked and she looked at the boy's changing lockers. "My brothers, but they take forever to change." I smiled at her, "Would you like me to skate with you? I can show you it's not so scary." She shook her head. Yes. I smiled as I helped her up and we slowly started skating. She was giggling and laughing and Eathan even joined in skating around us and showing her tricks. "Can you make us fly?" She asked excitedly. I chuckled, " Maybe, a little I don't want you to get hurt, little one." She smiled and I sped up a little bit, but not too much. She was giggling even more. Suddenly, the little girl looked behind me and squealed. "Bubba's look, I'm flying." I saw Ethan's jaw drop. I slowed down and turned to see who her brothers were and my jaw dropped. Staring at me were the Alpha twins, Alex and Alan. Alan had a really bad reputation, he was horrible to people. He treated girls like trash and crashed almost every car he owned just to get a new one. Alex was the total opposite, he was responsible and kind. He was favored by everyone, including his parents. He would be a good alpha, unlike his brother. Sadly, if you have twin Alphas, both will lead the pack and both will have the same mate. I felt bad for whoever that was. I bowed my head as they made their way over. They both towered over me. Trying to intimidate me, but it wasn't working, which bothered them. I realized it was me being an Alpha myself, why I wasn't intimidated. "Uh Hi, um, I have to go," I said, as I handed the little girl to them and skated off the ice. They both just watched my skate off in curiosity. I quickly changed into my sandals and took off, "sh*t sh*t sh*t" I said as I hurried to the car. I looked at the time, "Crap I'm gonna be late for work." Eathan was climbing into the car as I started it. "Do you need me to drop you off somewhere?" "Just the cemetery it's on your way." I gave him a pitiful look, today was the 2 year anniversary of our parents death. "Oh crap." I said. They died on my 16th birthday and I have been taking care of myself and Eathan even since. "it's okay, just go to work." I smiled at him as I sped down the roads like a crazy person. I dropped him off at the cemetery. I gave him a hug before speeding off. Luckily, I had my work outfit in my back seat. I sped into the parking lot just minutes before my shift. I threw on my uniform over my clothes and was throwing my hair into a messy bun as I ran into the diner. My manager was staring at me and sighed, "You really over work yourself, would you like a day off?" She asked and I shook my head, "I need the money I can't afford to." She sighed, "okay Emma. By the way, we have some special guests coming in today. I don't know who, but this place needs to be spotted less." I nodded, "got it." She started to walk away, then stopped, "by the way, happy birthday. Don't forget, after 12 you can start to catch your mates' scent." I smiled, "thank you and I don't know why we can't just catch it as soon as we wake up. Why do we have to wait until 12?" She shrugged as she walked off. I shook my head as I started to clean tables and take people's orders. Time flew by fast. It was already one in the afternoon. I was now able to find my mate, if they were of age. Mates can't find each other unless both are of age. I was finally able to sit down for a second when Tyler walked in. He was a loan shark. My parents owed money too, since they died before they could pay it off. I was stuck with it. Of course, I could have kicked his ass but he threatened Eathan, and since Eathan is not my blood brother, he isn't an Alpha. Tyler could kill him if he wanted to. I rolled my eyes and started to walk away but he grabbed my arm. "Woah little one, slow down. I need my money." I rolled my eyes, "I won't have my pay check until tomorrow, you know that. You always come in here a day early everytime." He chuckled "maybe it's because I love sealing that sweet a**. He reached for my a** but I pulled away. "Stop it Tyler." I said and he looked embarrassed. He reached for my throat and started squeezing. It didn't bother me one bit, it didn't even hurt. I slowly pried his hand off my throat. "You will get your money tomorrow, now go beat up anyone you can." He growled and lunged at me but we heard a loud roar. "Enough!" We heard a wolf yell. We turned to see it was the Alpha. We all quickly bowed our head. His whole family was there except for his twin sons. "Rise" he said, and we all lifted our heads. The Alpha was looking right at Tyler, "what kind of coward dares put his hands on a woman?" Tyler didn't say anything, "Answer me!" He roared and Tyler started shaking, "m-me" He spit out and the Alpha still looked pissed. "You will work in the field for 3 years, you disgrace." I covered my mouth trying to hide my smile. The field was the worst place to be. It was covered in guts and lots of poop. It was the waste land for our bathrooms and showers and for dead sick animals when they didn't make it. You had to clean out a spot and organize things, like having a poop pile and had to dig graves for the animals out of respect. Tyler froze before he was dragged out by the Alpha's guards. He looked at me with pity in his eyes, "are you okay dear?" he asked and I nodded. "Thank you Alpha." I said as I bowed my head. He smiled as they took a seat. Everyone cheered about what he had done. They sat in my section. They brought their adorable daughter with them. I gathered myself before grabbing my order pad and walked over. I bowed my head and asked, "what would you like to order?" I jotted down their orders and the Twins' orders. I guess they were arriving late. Suddenly, the daughter jumped up and pointed at me, "that was the girl who was skating with me mama!" "Sophie sat down." She whispered. "What's your name dear?" The Luna asked, "Emma, Emma Vander Luna." She smiled, "Emma I hear from Sophie that you skated with her when her brothers left her." She said the last part annoyed. "uh yeah, she was sitting in the middle of the rink and I thought she was hurt. I showed her skating wasn't so scary." I smiled and she smiled back, "well thank you Emma." I gave her one last smile before heading back to give the cook their orders. I sat down for a minute to catch my breath, I was just talking to the Alpha and his family! I skated with their daughter! I met their sons and ran away! I shake my head. God I was so stupid. Suddenly, I was hit with this incredible smell. It smelled like cake and brownies mixed with sugar and caramel. Holy crap did my mate just walk in?! I slowly crept around the corner and my jaw dropped when I saw who walked in. It was the Twins. They started sniffing the air. They smelled me! I quickly ran out the back door and around the front to my car. "F*ck" I mumbled, if they found out I was an Alpha I was dead for sure. We had to move. I quickly sped off in my car and I saw the twins in the rear view mirror looking at me confused. F*ck! I thought to myself. I called Eathan. "Hello? You got a break already?" He asked and I was trying not to panic, "we need to leave the pack lands Eathan, I mated to the F*cking Twins!" He started to burst out laughing "Holy crap you have horrible luck!" He said. I scoffed, "I'm almost to the Cemetery, you still there?" "Yeah, I fell asleep on their graves." "I'm sorry, Eathan, we can still visit them." He sighed, "I know." As I sped up to the cemetery, Eathan jumped in the car and I hit the gas. "Wow I keep forgetting it gets dark here so early" I mumbled and Eathan chuckled. As I pulled into the driveway, I sat there for a moment. Eathan was 18, he had his license and was finishing school next week. "You can stay if you want, you can visit me. But you don't have to leave Ethan." He looked shocked, "no way Emma! We're in this together!" "Eathan, your life is here, your friends, our parents, our home. I can't stay but you can." He was silent, "Emma, I can't do this on my own." I sighed, " Yes you can." his eyes filled with tears. "You are one of the strongest people I know, you can do this." I said and he was silent before giving me a quiet nod. "okay I need to go pack." I said as I scrambled inside, I started throwing my clothes into a back pack and all my essentials along with some emergency money I had piled up. All the bills were paid and there was food in the fridge. Once I was all packed, I saw the trash over filling. "dang" I mumbled as I pulled the trash. Eathan was sitting on the couch looking out into space. God I hated doing this to him. I opened the door and carried the trash out over my shoulder. Any other werewolf would be dragging this trash bag trying to catch their breath. I threw the bag into the trash can and there it was again the sweet smells. Cake and Bronies mixed with sugar and Carmel. Crap! I tried to rush inside but was stopped when I ran into a very muscular chest. I looked up to see Alan! I tried to run the other way but ran into Alex. Their scents were almost over whelming. "Why run little mate?" Alan asked, looking confused and hurt? "I uh... this is very complicated, uh." I was at a loss for words. Then Alex pulled me into his chest and against his muscular body and wrapped his arms around me, " You smell like chocolate and strawberries." he said, sniffing my hair. This could not be happening! My heart started racing. Suddenly, Eathan walked out and saw us, "Emma?" He asked, confused, "Eathan bub, this is not what it looks like! Go inside!" He just stared at me. "Were you lying about having to leave? Do you want to leave me?!" "Eathan no!" I said as I finally broke free from Alex's grip and chased Eathan inside. "What is going on Emma?!" Eathan asked. "They just showed up! I tried to run inside but they were too fast. I promise, Eathan, I didn't lie to you!" "Well, it looks like they aren't gonna kill you!" he shouted. I could feel the Twins feeling confused. Eathan read their expressions behind me. "They don't know?" He said. I sighed, tears in my eyes. My legs were shaking with fear. "No they don't." I turned to face the twins, who started sniffing me and then they froze. "Your an Alpha?" Alex said. I started backing away slowly. "Only by blood." I said, still trying to head for the back door. "You were here this entire time? How did we not know?" Alan asked his brother. He shrugged and they were both thinking and I bolted for the back door but once again ran into a muscular chest. It was Alex this time. "Your not leaving." he said, his tone husky and shaky like he was trying to control his self. Crap, I thought as I realized he had me pushed against him holding me tight. I could feel Alan standing behind me. Double crap! "Uh listen I can explain." I said sheepishly. Alex chuckled, pulling me close as he whispered into my ear. " Oh you better." He lowered his hands to rest on my a**. "Hey!" I yelled, smacking his hand away without even thinking. He didn't seem mad, though he just smiled, he then flipped me around and pinned my back to the wall and put his hands on my hips. "Calm down, we're not gonna hurt you. In fact, it's kinda hot you're an Alpha. We were so worried we would get a lame, weak girl," Alex said. "What? But I thought you would hang me? I was told by my parents that you would see me as a threat and kill me." Alan clicked his tongue, "not you, your brother, though yes." He started to walk away towards Eathan. "No were not blood related, he isn't like me!" I screamed trying to push Alex away and it was working until Alan stopped and Alex pushed me back against the wall his hands still on my hips. "What?" He asked turning around. Eathan was still frozen in shock. I sighed, "I'm adopted, my biological parents were both Alphas. I don't know who they are. Only what they look like." Alex loosened his grip on me as Alan walked over. They looked me up and down and they both smiled. "Your feisty, sweet, and protective. I think we hit the jackpot Alan," Alex said. Alan smiled as he leaned in, I turned my head and he chuckled. "In due time my little mate." "I'm not little!" I shouted and they laughed. "Your so tiny it's cute." Alex said and I rolled my eyes. "I'm only 5 foot 3 inches. and I only weight 200 pounds. I'm not small." They chuckled, "your waist is, your a** and b**bs are not. They started checking me out and I rolled my eyes. My eyes landed on Eathan, still standing there not sure what to do, when he saw me pinned to the wall by two Alphas. I slowly pushed past the twins and headed to Eathan. "Eathan?" I said softly. He just stood there not moving a muscle. "Eathan." I said, more worried. I moved my hand in front of his face and nothing moved, not his eyes, nothing. I snapped and clapped in his face, still nothing. "Eathan?!" I said as I started shaking him. He still didn't move, he only collapsed. "Eathan!" I yelled as I caught him while he fell. The twins rushed over. "W-what happened to Eathan?!" I asked and they were just as confused as I was. "Did he go through a lot of stress today?" Alex asked and I nodded my head, "yeah he went to our parents' grave and ended up crying his self to sleep on their graves. Then he thought I was leaving, then he thought I was lying and then that." I motioned towards the door where me and the twins previously just were. They were silent. "He went into a trance. When a male ware wolf goes through a lot of stress or trauma, in a short period of time, his body shuts down and they go into a trance to deal with it. It's normal baby." "My name is Emma, Emma Vander." I said and they were silent, "Emma." Alex said softly. "We need to get him to a doctor." I shook my head, "I can't afford a doctor." They were silent once more. Did I say something wrong? "Emma, this is our fault so we will pay for it. Emma, please the sooner the better," Alex said. I slowly nodded, Alan came and scooped him up and carried him outside. I was still sitting on the floor, I hadn't even noticed that I was crying until Alex wiped them away. "oh, god sorry" I said, as I quickly got up and wiped them away. "Sorry?" he asked, confused. "uh yeah, sorry I didn't mean to cry." He was still silent, "your allowed to be upset." He said. I sighed. "Yeah I know, but I just don't like crying in front of people. Sorry." I said as I headed towards the back door, but Alex stopped me and pulled me into him. The smell of cake and brownies filled my nose. I let out a soft moan, "mmm, you smell good" I said, and I quickly snapped out of it. I pulled away and looked at him, he was smirking. "Ignore that." I said and I tried to go out the back door but he ran and pinned me to the wall. It didn't hurt and he put his hand behind my head so it didn't hit the wall. My breath was caught in my throat, a part of me wanted him to lean in and kiss me. I shook my head, stupid mate bond. This was Alex Blackburn! He was an Alpha and the Alpha of my pack! He may be my mate, but that doesn't change his social status or mine! "A-Alex put me down." I said and he groaned as he did. "Why not reject me and cast me out? I'm sure the moon goddess will give you guys another mate." He looked angry at me. Did I say something wrong? "Do you want us too?" He asked. Honestly, this was terrifying! Having 2 mates and them being Alphas like me! But I did want them. Maybe it was the mate bond, maybe not. I was silent for too long and he looked worried. "No, but it's terrifying," I said, and he was silent, waiting for me to explain. I sighed as I started to pace and talk really fast. "Look, I was expecting one mate not two and I was expecting them to be normal, not Alphas, and I definitely didn't expect them to be like royalty! I mean I'm used to being in the shadows and now that's not happening anymore, unless you know you guys do reject me." Suddenly, a pair of huge arms wrapped around me and lifted me off my feet. "Oh sweet little Emma. Me and my brother have been waiting for our mate for 3 years and now that we found you were not letting you go." Alex said and this made me blush a little. Suddenly, I felt another pair of big arms wrap around me and pull me close, it was Alan. "Oh, were gonna have so much fun." he said as he squeezed my ass. "Hey!" I said, smacking his hand away. "Not so fast." I said squirming out of his arms. "This is not gonna be a whole dominate and submissive thing. I can tell you that right now." I said and they smiled. "Good, we wouldn't want anything else." What did they want then? Alex grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer, his body pressed against mine. "Let's go princess" he said as he scooped me up and carried me ot the car. What had I gotten into?
