“Dad, tell me about Aunt Alexa. You hardly mention her.”
He pushed his empty plate away and sipped his beer. “After she graduated high school she went to university on a scholarship. That's where she met Steven. He was from a rich family in Tampa, and she fell head over heels in love with him. She never brought him home, and I think it was because she was ashamed of how we lived. We weren’t poor, but it wasn’t good enough for her I guess. After she and Steven graduated, they got married and moved into a large house and started a family.”
“How much older is she?”
