Next morning Maria woke up to a beautiful sunny day as her beautiful eyes open and roam across her little bedroom her eyes glance at the wall clock the time is quarter past 7 then she remember she has an interview that morning by 8am at SHELBY consortium , Maria in a hasty mind ran to her bathroom took her bath with the speed of light and by the time she finished preparing the time is at 7:45, she took a cab through the busy city of Atlanta on getting to the interview venue she was already 10 minutes late her world was collapsing around her knowing that her only hope of getting a job as a secretary is slipping off her hands . on getting there she was told the interview has ended, her world collapsed immediately different thought was running through her mind, how will she pay for brothers hospital bill, how will she pay their house rent in the middle of these thoughts tears rolled down her eyes her legs became weak. On the other hands Mr Egan was looking from a corner and she recognized her from the other night a lady who took his breath away is in his company hoping to get hired as his personal secretary what a coincident Maria felt a tap on her shoulder as she stood there, crushed to learn that the interview was over. She was startled to turn around and see Mr. Egan Shelby smiling amiably at her. "Miss Smith, isn't it?" His voice was soothing and silky as he spoke. While still taking in the unexpected turn of events, Maria nodded. Egan motioned for her to come with him, and they went into an exclusive conference room. Egan invited her inside and took a seat across from her. "I couldn't help but notice your situation, and I must say, I'm impressed by your determination to make it here despite the odds," he said. While she continued to wipe away her tears, Maria managed a grateful smile. "Let's do a quick interview right now," Egan went on. You seem like a perfect fit for my need for a personal secretary. He immediately remember her face and his heart beats fast which made him land in the hospital due to shock and he was rushed to the hospital with the help of his bodyguard and driver.

Egan going through some documents with his secretary and lover Maria receives the devastating news that his father has been hospitalized in NYC his heart broke into thousand pieces but was calmed by his lover. He asked that one of his jets should be arranged and get ready to fly to NYC as soon as possible, few hours later he left Atlanta and left Maria to oversee some works left behind. On getting to NYC he asked his driver to drive him to the hospital to see his father on getting to the hospital he was greeted by the sight of his father sleeping peacefully after been assured by the doctor that his father will be okay.
