Chapter Eight IT WAS A BLOOD NIGHT. The first since the accident. Tamsen felt the urge to cleanse herself. She determined to brave the chill of the river’s current to remove all trace of the blood taint. The full moon loomed large enough to illuminate the uneven trail to the river’s brink.
