Clichés Clichés

I headed straight for the school's entrance and left. I'll try this school bit again tomorrow. Sorry to say I was already at my wit's end with the entire ordeal. High school, it turns out is 10 times worse when you're actually living it. My thoughts didn't even have a chance to go wayward when suddenly, yes, out of thin air, the sky darkened. I hope you just added this cliché to what I know should be a growing list. This was seriously not helping my mood. I hurried in the direction of my house. I mean I really had nowhere else to go. As I got closer to the cabin I had this sixth sense that something was wrong. Like just hide somewhere else wrong, or maybe that feeling you get when your favourite character in a thriller walks into a dark room, wrong. It didn't even help that I could barely see where I was going. I mean seriously, could this day get any worse? Wait, that's one question you should never ask yourself. Why? Well, other than the fact that it's completely cliché, it's like you're begging for the irony of the day actually getting worse. "Listen Saraphina you can't keep blackmailing me like this!" The sound of an unfamiliar male voice had me intrigued. What? I don't get out much. "Just do it!" My aunt hissed. Hissed! My aunt never hisses! I increased my pace. This is something I've GOT to see. "The deal you had with my father has nothing to do with me," The voice, which was laced with an Italian accent, reasoned. "It has everything to do with you!" I kid you not when I say that the lightning crackled. This was a side of my aunt I had never seen before. Her eyes, once inviting, burned like green embers. I rounded the corner trying to gain a better view, hoping to put a face to the voice when the room started glowing green! "Okay, I'm so done with this s**t!" I stepped out of the shadows and immediately regretted it as a bolt of- of energy whizzed centimeters passed my cheek. "What the hell was that?!" I screeched, all eyes falling on me. It's at that moment I noticed the most curious pair of grey eyes assessing me with not just interest but relief. Well, buddy, that makes two of us! It's at that very same moment my aunt chooses to speak "Azora, what are you doing home so soon?" I just stare at her with what I hope is my most incredulous look. "What I want to know is... what the hell is going on here?!" "Well, Seraphina, I see you'll have your hands full explaining this one." The stranger turns to me with an expression I don't really understand. "It was a pleasure to meet you," he then glances back at my aunt, "Though it was under the most unpleasant circumstances." It was then that the beautiful creature walked out, his soft brown hair the last thing I see. I cautiously turn around to face my aunt. "You're a witch." No explanations, no apologies, just with a deadpanned look and an air of boredom did she reveal to me something that changed the course of my life. FOREVER! "H- how?' "Why now?" She sighed and rubbed her temples. "Sit Zore, we need to talk."
