Andrew Meyers
Warning- female writing from a male perspective.
I sat up almost automatically a few minutes before my alarm clock rang.
School began two weeks ago but one could only wish that the holiday could stay longer. The only comforting thing was the fact there was only two more terms before I could say bye to high school and hello to college. I'd already sent my college application with hope of being a lawyer.
Rubbing my eyes I stood up from bed making my way to the ensuite bathroom of my room and got ready for school.
My days outfit consisted of a worn out jeans and a grey hoodie which was slightly oversized and my glasses.
I picked of everything I needed, slinging my small book bag on my shoulder before opening the door, going to the room I wished to never see.
Out of habit I stopped at the white door before shutting my eyes tightly and jogging down the stairs into the kitchen where my plate of bacon and eggs were already laid.
My mom was at the sink washing some plates while my dad was taking a sip of coffee as he scrolled through his phone looking up briefly at me but his attention went back to his phone, ignoring me like always.
"Morning " I greeted taking a seat, causing my mom to glance at me. We shared a similar colour of eyes, grayish with a hint of green. Other than that I had inherited everything else from my father. His brown hair dimpled cheeks and everything else.
My mom's eyes held light but it wasn't enough to wash away that sad glint she had.
"Andrew how was your night? " she asked with a slight smile on her cheeks before turning her attention to the sink.
"It was nice. "
"Ready for school today? "
I inwardly groaned realizing I have to be ready for another year of harsh shoving and insults which I deserved.
I put on a fake smile on my lips.
"Can't wait"
She smiled in return completely oblivious to everything around her.
I scarfed down my breakfast and left, throwing my worn out canvas before I began my ten minutes walk to school.
Soon I got to the building, empty due to the time I came. No normal teenager would want to come to school fifteen minutes after seven.
I walked to my homeroom class dropping my things in my locker when I got there. I took my seat, at the corner, next to the window very far at the back so I could manage to avoid spit balls.
As time passed people began piling in till th class was almost full when the bell rang.
Our homeroom teacher, Mrs Gale started her usual pep talks and the bell rang.
I packed my stuff and left to my next class, biology. The teacher gave me a friendly smile as I passed.
"Loser" some one muttered as I passed their table to my usual spot. I ignored the person and took a seat.
The tardy bell rang and the lesson started. A few minutes into the lesson the door slammed open and a girl came in.
A few jaws dropped as she entered. Not that it was necessary but certainly it was worthy.
She had blue eyes and long blonde hair reaching below her waistline, her lips painted a deep shade of red and mascara making her eyes look bolder. Apart from this two, no other traces of makeup could be seen. Her figure was like that of an hour glass and she knew it seeing she was dresses to kill in a short skirt that stopped mid-thigh but it wasn't short enough to flash any one accidentally and a loose shirt that hung to her frame, a leather jacket tied around her waist, wearing small heels and stockings a bit of her garter belt showing and her bag strapped to her side.
She was the featuring star of ever teenage boy or pedophile wet dream.
Oddly enough she looked a bit familiar
"Miss Collins, I was informed of your arrival" the teacher said, staring with her with what I could easily be described as lust.
She looked at him lazily.
"Hey teach" she said. Her voice was soft and velvety but had a rough edge to it. Almost like she wanted to be mean but that was the meanest she could muster.
She scanned the class lazily and gave him a mock salute before walking to a free seat.
Next to me.
As she passed wolf whistles followed her along with angry gazes of girls who were nothing but jealous.
I'm sure the queen bee was no match to her, not like we'd be seeing the head cheerleader Jessica Moore since she left for the term. One could only pray she didn't come next term.
She stared at me a brow raised and I sighed.
"Hey babe, come sit with me and not that loser" a jock said and he's friends laughed. I half expected her to join them instead she sat next to me and relaxed, her legs propped on the desk as if she owned the place.
"Miss Collins, it would very much be appreciated if you put your legs down. " he said, his face flushed along with most of the boys in class. She snorted.
"Why? "
"Because you don't own the place. " He snapped. She arched a brow, dropping her legs down as she leaned. Luckily for the other boys she wasn't wearing something that would expose her cleavage...
"Dude, I could buy you and this school or even get you fired in a snap of a finger, don't mess with me" she said her voice threateningly low.
Her threat seemed to be true cause he left her and allowed her to do a she pleased through out the class.
The bell rang and I packed my stuff.
"Hey" she said in a small voice. I turned to looked at her. She had a small grin on her face.
"I'm Jade Collins" she said with an outstretched hand. I looked at it confused.
"Your supposed to take it" she said. I ignored her and sling my bag over my shoulder leaving her.
On my way out I looked at her from the corner of my eyes. She looked like she was trying to contain a laugh but couldn't do it any much longer so instead she broke into a small smile.
"Weird"
*
I was certainly finding it hard to ignore Jade.
She had almost all my classes except homeroom and calculus and now she sat in front of me in the library whole studying a book.
She groaned and dropped it down and let out a long deep sigh.
"How do you even manage to read this? "She asked. I looked at her and found her eyebrows furrowed as she stared at the book like it was some kind of mechanism to kill.
My annoyance was slowly getting to me as I dropped my book and put my glasses back in the case.
"Why are you following me? " I asked. She smiled. Amusement dancing in her eyes as she leaned forward propping her elbow up and resting her head on it. She gave me a smile.
"Cause your cute" she said. My cheeks were undoubtedly red as I turned away.
"Oh my God your blushing! " She squealed. I seriously can't believe that this was the girl who threatened so many teachers today. Rumours were already flying around about how she was expelled for punching some guy or sleeping with her teacher. So many baseless rumours.
"Okay look, if this is a bet go ahead and tell them that I'm tired of this stuff already" I said and she burst into a fit of laughter.
"What? "
"Mr smarty pants, I just got here" she said bursting into another for of laughter making the librarian give her a warning look.
She reduced to silent chuckles while I glared at her.
"Just because of that doesn't mean that your not in with them" I said.
"Trust me sweetheart. I can never join those losers"she said a small smirk playing on her red lips.
I stayed in shock. She seriously must have something wrong with her not to see the real loser, I thought.
"Just leave me alone" I mumbled. She gave me a small grin that sent good shivers down my spine at the small action.
"Nope, see you soon, darling. " she said drawing out the last word. She stood up and left. Leaving me red. Immediately she walked out the bell rang for closing.
This was gonna be a long final year.
