A fully charged power tool was a treat. With no deliveries coming in, frequent power outages from the grid, and a whole host of other problems that crept in like ground fog from the decaying societies beyond their borders, the basic needs of the town typically outweighed that of an electric drill’s battery, especially when most things could be done by hand.
