The only resistance, apart from a few questions that went largely unanswered, came from Adelaide, who was under the impression that Terrell had been killed years ago. Since she no longer held any power over Dakota or Kenna, though, she could do nothing except growl and make snide remarks.
As for the group’s assessment of him? They took his obvious injuries, new and old, as signs of weakness. And he seemed cordial enough. Without the history attached, Terrell was just a guy with a cane and a shitty motorcycle, shepherded into the flock by two of its most trusted leaders. They accepted him because they were told to.
