Kenna The look on Adelaide’s face said everything Ken thought she needed to know. Her dad and his friend had been gone for two hours. Plenty of time for Adel to assume they were dead, and quite possibly suggest that they should move on without so much as searching for the men. But when she actually spoke up, the subject was something else entirely. “May we speak? In private, while we have both the leisure and the opportunity.” Suspicious, but confident, Ken nodded.
