Early the next morning, before Linnea had even arrived, Mara was already busy moving about. Seeing that Linnea had not yet reached the office, she turned on Linnea's computer for her and went to fetch hot water as well. This eager, attentive manner was exactly how Mara had acted when she first began working as my assistant.
