Chasing Her

1952 Words

Demitri POV She fights me every step, but I don’t care. Not anymore. I shove her into a chair and lean over her, my face inches from hers, breathing hard. “I’m done with the games,” I growl. “You’re going to make a choice and stick to it. I’m not playing this game where you act like it’s all nothing. I gave you control, something I never do for anyone. And you treated it like it was worthless.” She smirks, her defiance infuriating. “Because it was nothing,” she says, laughing again. I can’t listen to her mock me anymore. I turn, storming out of the room, slamming the door behind me. Her fists pound on the other side, and I hear her screaming for me to let her out, but I don’t move. I sit down outside, running a hand through my hair, trying to calm the storm of rage boiling inside me.
