Chapter 6

~Tobias~

I arrived at the door of the chief's office, the chief weren't too bad, just scary when mad. You know it isn't good when he shouts your name, it just confirms what the guys were saying before about him being mad.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath in, then I knock on the door to the chief's office. "Enter officer Tobias Connor" I hear the chief call out, 'shit...full title.....that's never good' I think to myself as I open the door to the chief's office and walk in.

I'm in the office, it's nothing special, like most bosses offices, pretty plain, his name on the table,. Sitting at his desk, with his hands clasped together over a file, he look's up at me. "you wanted me chief?" I ask unsure on just what to say or what was going to be said, "Yes, I did officer Connor, I need to talk to you about a case" the chief answered. I look around me for just a short moment then fix my focus on the chief, "ok sir, how can I be of help on the case?" I ask relieved he's not angry but slightly nerved by his tone talking to me, it's very deep and serious and stern, can seem quite threatening, I just stay on his good side if I can. Answering my question the chief replies "I have everyone in this station on this case, including deputy Richard Bell and they're all struggling, so I'm hoping you can help out" Seriously? He has the whole station on 1 case? and he's asking me for help? this should be fun. I have some kind of joy knowing the stuck up damn annoying deputy bellend can't crack the case so with a bit of satisfaction I reply to the chief simply "ok, tell me about it and I'll see what I can do" hoping that is a good enough reply for him. Thankfully it must of because the chief carries on to tell me "18 year old young female, her name is Roxanna Miles. She was arrested 7 years ago for murder and was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, however she escaped from juvenile hall 5 years ago and has been on the run since.5 years we have been trying to catch her,  5 years we have been struggling to get her back behind bars. We also have had an secret tip that she is selling drugs, she's the most popular drug dealer in this state, she has been dealing drugs for 5 years. She is very well known to have a VERY violent temper, so be careful. She is also known for carrying weapons so approach with caution, we need to get her off the streets and behind bars immediately, for the sake of the public. The others are also on this case, they should help you out, good luck" "I will do my very best sir, thank you" I reply while processing all that had just been said to me. I nod letting the chief know I have took in all he has said, then I turn on my heel and walk out of his office.

I watched Tobias walk out, he is 1 of my best officers, he's also my last hope of catching this girl. He knew the name, you could see that in him, but he chose to stay professional which I like about him. I open up the file on Roxanna Miles and look at it with determination, "We're all after you now, it's only a matter of time and we'll catch you. Then we'll put you right back behind bars, exactly where you belong Roxanna Miles.
