Chapter 10

~Roxanna~

FLASHBACK CONTINUED

Did I really just hear him say he reported the murder? why would he? he should've ignored it, I would. My blood start to boil inside, I snap at him "you what?! You're the reason I'm in here?!" cowering a bit Tobias says with slight fear in his voice "I didn't know it was you who done it" "and that make it better does it? I can't believe you! You're the reason I'm stuck here, you couldn't of jus let it be? You jus had to go runnin the police!" I'm trying to hold back but he keeps on digging "I heard someone get killed, what else was I suppose to do?" "ignore it, leave it be. That bastard got what he deserved, he killed Elliot. MY twin, My other half. Eye for an eye T, eye for an eye, watch your back now" I said warning him, at this point both of our backs were going up. "I didn't know, I was feeling guilty but now I'm not. You deserve to be in here, you took a life. You should of reported it, not kill him" the cops wouldn't of done nothing...he was mates with the deputy, so like hell was I going to report it, did he really just say I DESERVE to be in here? I'm trying to control myself but I'm really struggling at this point, I just snap "you know what Tobias Connor? I don't EVER wanna see you again, you back stabbing rat, I can't believe we were ever friends" "that makes 2 of us Roxanna, enjoy rotting away here" he snaps back. Then I lost it after his last reply, I lost control and anger overcame me, "why you son of a...." then all I saw was red, and I lost full control. Before I knew what I was doing I grabbed Tobias by the throat and I start Punching him in the face, then my body over took my mind and I started beating the crap out of Tobias. 

Guards seen me and came rushing over, they try to hold me down but couldn't, with all the adrenaline and anger inside me I became too powerful so the guards start calling for extra help whilst 1 took Tobias out of my grip and away from me. I had a new target at this point, keep fighting against these so I can finish what I started, I then heard 1 of the guards who name was Theo call out "We really need extra help here, we're struggling to hold her down!", then more guards come rushing over, all trying to hold me down. Then I hear 1 guard talk through his radio asking fir the doctor to come and help, like what's the doctor going to do if these can't hold me, what makes them think a geek can? They're still struggling as I'm still fighting Theo tries to to tell me what to do "calm down Roxanna! Quit fighting against us!" he did not just try to tell me, Roxanna Miles, to calm down....the absolute i***t. I keep fighting, I'm not backing down from this, and the guards keep trying to restrain me. Just as the doctor arrive, they manage to put the handcuffs on me, I kick out in anger and strike Theo in his prive area, to my amusment he falls to the ground covering his crotch, "holy crap! Geez that hurt" inside I laughed at the expression on his face. Suddenly the doctor injects me with something, I don't know what it was. I yell out "get off!" suddenly I start slowing down, wondering just exactly what I got injected with, then everything goes black.

~Prison guard~

It was such a relief when Roxanna fell asleep, we had to call for the doctor, we was in danger, a visitor got injured and the risk of her getting injured herself was high. We keep her hand cuffed as I lifted her off the ground the doctor starts talking as I carry her to her cell, Theo in pain with his crotch after a hard kick never followed, but another guard did to help out. As we arrive to Roxanna's cell the other guard opens the door and we put he in, keeping her hand cuffed just in case I lay her on her side on the bed, not the comfiest of beds but it's a bed, as I lay her down on her side I say to the doctor "thank you doctor, for your help" I don't even know how we'd of dealt with that, well we couldn't so I was grateful for the doctor, being a doctor he replies "Not a problem, tell Theo to get some ice where he got kicked" "will do, thank again" very professionally he carries on to say "I'll be round soon to check on Miss Miles to make sure she hasn't gained any injuries, best checking while she's asleep" knowing her and after the performance we've just had I decide to stay with Roxanna, I hope she doesn't but just in case she does wake up I decided to stay here, I thank the doctor again and watch as he leaves. 

My colleague who was with us turns and says "I'll go write up the report over the incident, man she's a tough cookie for 11" knowing someone had to do the report and I weren't leaving a young girl handcuffed and sedated alone knowing she could wake up anytime, but I also couldn't disagree with him "that she is, she's going to be trouble, can't believe we have to have her here for 7 years" my colleague tries to lighten my mood and reminds me "yes, but after that she'll be the state pens problem". realising he's right I just simply say to him, "Go on, do the report, I'll keep watch on her" then he walks away and I stay with Roxanna.

~Roxanna~

I take more drugs to escape and break out of the flashbacks, this is my life now, it's better, jjust wish he never showed up "he should be gone now, just forget him, got to get this money to the main guy tomorrow" I say as I leave the stall.

~Tobias~

I lost her in the crowd so I start to ask around if anyone had seen Roxanna or which direction she went, as I'm searching the club I bump into 1 of my friends, to say I was shocked to see him here is an understatement "Lucas?" I asked wondering if it was him, it was. "Hey T man, it's good to see you" how can he sound so chill or stand the volume in here? hoping he's not braking the law I say "please tell me you're not taking drugs" and as if he was letting the music control his body he starts to dance while we speak "No man, I'm just here for the music. I mean if you're wanting any you could ask most others but not me" "oh, ok. Wait, most of these are taking?" I ask shocked as I just realised what Lucas had just said, again so chill as if this was normal came the reply "well yeah, apparently the most popular dealer comes here most nights. So they come here for their fix, she must have impressive stuff to have so many buyers though. Don't worry, I'm not a customer" "well that's good to know, 1 of my best friends don't take drugs but hangs in a club full of them" slightly relieved knowing he wasn't breaking the law, I'd hate to see him behind bars.

 Lucas brakes me out of my train of thought "Don't worry, hey what you doing here in uniform? Are you here to arrest someone" suddenly I remember why I originally came in here "no, yes, well kind of. It's quite complicated, I seen the perp and was following her, but lost her. I'm going to be doing undercover work to take her down, I seen her, but now I've lost her" Lucas takes it all in "you in uniform wouldn't help dude, if she's on the run from the cops then you in uniform won't help" he points out to me, I realise he's right "I know that, I was on my way home from my shift when I bumped into her" "Oh, I get it man, well if ya need me, I'm happy to help" "hopefully you can, have you seen a Roxanna?" I ask hoping he can help me find her "Dude, a lot of these girls don't tell you their names unless you ask. I know a couple Roxanna's here, you'll have to be more specific" not quite the answer I was looking for. "Last name Miles, have you seen her?" I ask still a little bit of hope that he could help "no, sorry man" ok...now I'm totally deflated, at least he was willing to help though "Thanks anyway Luc", "No problem T man" "I best get home to bed, start the new shift tomorrow. See ya soon dude, take care" I say as I realise the challenge I have ahead of me, "and you, see ya" was the last thing Lucas said as he started to dance amongst other clubbers.

I turn around and make my way to the exit, beyond exhausted I leave and make my way home.
