Ch 24 My cue

Chapter 24

•ZARI•

I heard someone snap their fingers and gripped Zen hand tighter

‘Mate?’ I felt Zen let go of my hand but a

‘Mate?’ then suddenly I heard a thud

‘MATE!?’ I heard a defeated growl but none of this registered because

‘How do I have a mate I thought Cadmar was my mate!?’

‘I-I don't understand...Bree’

I heard her purr and suddenly I felt strong arms wrap around my waist setting off fireworks all over where our skin touched. I shivered when I felt his nose nuzzle where my mating mark would be. He ran a hand up and down my arm I shivered at his touch in the feeling nothing but bliss and then he said “Mine” I purred slightly

wait.. wait a minute!?

I pulled away slightly earning a growl which made my knees weak but I wouldn't give in and pulled away but not completely just enough to look at him "Who are you? And I don't understand I thought I didn't have a mate?"

Thus earning another growl but he let go of my waist and clasped my hand instead of bringing it to his lips and placing a gentle kiss on my hand. He let go and I felt cold from his absence but saw him bowing the way any gentleman would and said

"Ah, perdóname por ser tan atrevido (Ah forgive me for being so forward) I am the Capo of Circo De la Rosa my name is Cuauhtémoc De la Rosa and who might you be other than my beautiful mate?"

I looked to my Alpha who looked as shocked as I was and then to my Beta looked like she was having a mental conversation with Alpha but then signaled for me to tell him I stood up straight as I spoke "I am Zariah Valu pack doctor of the Fae moon Pack"

He looked surprised but said "Ah a woman of medicine" he smirked and said, "I don't suppose you have come to me because you knew you were as mine as I am yours?" He walked close to me once again taking my hand and placing a gentle kiss on it then resting it on his cheek.

I felt my face burn bright and I'm sure I'm bright red as he wrapped an arm around my waist and then I heard "We are here because my cousin Oris said you would be able to provide us with work if we passed your test" his Hazle Gaze left mine as he spoke

"Ah, you are the famous Xoila that I have heard so much about yes?" Xoila simply smiled and bowed the same way he did her hair swinging down as she said "I am Xoila Savage Alpha of the Fae Moon pack pleasure to meet you De la Rosa" her power came out in waves as if to assert her strength and authority she swiftly stood and then motioned to Stacy with a sweep of her arm and said "this is my Beta" then she tipped her imaginary hat as she said "Stacy Noir Beta of the FeaMoon pack nice to meet yah" he turned me to face them but didn't let go

Then Xoila smirked as she motioned to the ground "And my Delta who your men have seemed to have pinned" everyone looked at Zen who had a bored expression on his face. Xoila smiled and then motioned with her head for him to stand "You've had your fun now get up and introduce yourself" The men that had Zen pinned were pretty big but Zen slipped his hands out from under them with ease. 

He wrapped his arms around their torsos and stood up holding both men with a smile on his face. He suddenly let go and both men fell like sacks of potatoes he outstretched his hand "My name is Zen Keyes and I am the Delta of the Fae Moon Pack nice to meet you" he stood to his full height and crossed his arms over his chest and smirked saying "Zari is the cutest dear Alpha but she's more of a little sister so you can calm your t**s, Oris is closer to my type" he said with a wink.

Glad to know someone is finally coming out of his shell

Bree murmured and the girls squealed and some of the guys gasped and Oris blushed furiously and for some reason, Cuauhtemoc just laughed wholeheartedly and with a smile said " What an interesting array of individuals I can’t wait to test you all out" he said as he looked out to all of them and then his eyes landed back on me

“Oh, how I’ve waited for you, Mi Amor. You are as beautiful as I had Imagined” his eyes held so much love that it scared me and I backed away from his embrace and moved behind Stacy and Xoila.  

They looked confused as to why I would move away from my mate 

‘Im scared I don’t understand how I have another mate’ 

Their eyes softened 

‘He’s your second chance mate Z’

‘He won’t be like my brother’

I looked down but I could feel his intense gaze on me so I peeked up at him... He looked hurt that I moved away but he turned away and looked Zen. It pained me but I didn’t know what to do He made me feel so much and it never felt like this with Cadmar.

‘Give him a chance Z’

‘I can’t Bree I'm scared I don’t understand’

‘Maybe you’re not meant to understand the goddess believes we should be happy’

‘I need to think Bree’ 

She nodded and I'm glad she didn’t try to push it further but how come I got a second chance? Like don’t get me wrong, I'm happy the goddess gave me a second chance at happiness but how so soon? And did he have a mate before me or was I his only one? That would be possible, right? I am really confused and I don’t know how I feel about this.

 I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn’t notice when he went to sit in his chair and then he spoke “Alright big guy I want to see what you can do” he looked into my eyes but then looked away and said, “You wouldn’t mind taking on 3 of my best men now would you?” I looked over at Zen he gave me a small smile of reassurance and then he turned to look at Xoila and Stacy.

“Show them what you got!” said Stacy with a gleam of excitement in her eyes. Then Xoilas face remained expressionless but she gave him a thumbs up for him to continue. He smirked and pulling his shoulders back to crack his back and then slightly cracking his neck he shook out his arms and then crossed them over his chest “Ready when you are” 

Then two huge men walked up in front of Zen and then you heard a coat fall to the ground. I turned and saw Oris stretching out and smiling as he walked towards the center with the other two men “I love it when you sound manly Zen it sends shivers down my spine” Zen only smirked at Oris and Puffed out his chest to crack his back one more time.

Everyone cleared the area moving away from where the four men stood. On the ground, there was a painted circle which I assumed was the ring, my mate- I mean Cuauhtemoc spoke again “The challenge or the test as your Alpha put is simple, first to knock their opponent out wins. And If you can successfully knock my men out then you have passed big guy” Zen simply nodded his head and cracked his neck one more time before smirking and taking a fighting stance.

Oris and one of the men stepped out of the ring.

•XOILA•

Zen looked at his opponent who took a fighting stance, this man was huge almost as big as Oris he had broad shoulders and buff arms and a wild look in his Brown eyes.  He was wearing a white wife beater and camo cargo pants he crouched slightly as he circled Zen. 

Zens eyes followed his every move. Then cuauhtémoc said "okay you may begin" 

With those words, the other Male took his chance and pounced on Zen hitting him square in the jaw. Zen turned to face him again and the man continued his assault hitting Zen hard one would think he would be pained but Zen wouldn't react he simply watched him.

Once Zen finished his evaluation he simply caught his hands and headbutted the other man with a great amount of force. Zen let go of his hands and his opponent fell to the ground out cold. 

Zen smiled and bowed two men appeared and dragged out the guy on the floor leaving room for his next opponent this man was built the same way as the other but had blue eyes and jet black hair. He made a show of cracking his knuckles and smirking as he took his stance.

"Start"

This time this man began to circle Zen his eyes seemed calculating as he made his first move he swung with his right arm but actually struck Zen in the back of the head with his left leg making Zen take a knee this men didn't give Zen the chance to recover and kicked him in the jaw with his right leg nearly knocking Zen down but giving him a chance to take hold of his left leg successfully knocking him down.

Zen pounced straddling him and landing blows to the man's face till he went limp successfully knocking him out. Zen stood wiping his sweat and running his hand through his hair as he faces his final opponent 

Oris

The Capo's right-hand man 

Oris smiled and said, "you know I love you right?" Taking his stance 

Zen smiled back stretching out his shoulder and said "I know you'll always be my platonic lover" winking and taking his stance 

"Final round...Start!"

•3rd POV•

They ran at each other the moment they got close in range fist started flying, they kept hitting each other in the same places their attacks so in sync. One would think someone was shadowboxing in front of a mirror. The fight dragged on for another 2 minutes and then they both reeled back punching each other in the jaw successfully knocking each other down. 

They were about to get up but then Capo De la Rosa raised his hand to halt the fight as he spoke "Two knocks outs and one draw before I say this I want you to know that once you're in there is no going back" he turned to look at his Alpha she looked pensive because this would mean the disbandment of the Fae moon pack.

She looked hesitant but she quickly realized that they would all still be together so after looking at Stacy and Zari she faced Zen once more giving him the okay he then turned to De la Rosa and nodded. "Welcome Zen Keyes" the connection to Zen disappeared as he successfully joined Circo De La Rosa then Zen spoke "Hey Z could you lend me your lap I'm tired" Capo de la Rosa growled which earned him a scowl from Zari as she nodded her head and sat on one of the many couches that was available.

•ZEN•

Capo de La Rosa grumbled quietly before he said "Alright wild eyes you're next" Stacy squealed and pulled off her hoodie handing it to Xoila leaving her in a simple black t-shirt she tied her hair back and walked to the circle "okay I'm ready"

Capo de la Rosa smiled and motioned to two men who seemed like they were part of the rugby league they weren't as big as the men I took on but almost anyone looked like they would tower over Stacy's 5 foot 4 frame 

she didn't seem to be fazed by it and said "Heyyy... do I not get a 3rd one" she pouted which earned her a chuckle from Xi who stretched out his arm and in one swing he cracked his elbow and repeated the same motion with his other arm

"I'm your final round" his face remained expressionless but Stacy's eyes still gleamed in excitement.

Xi and one of the men stepped out of the ring but then Stacy said "Ah wait come back here hot stuff I'll take you both down in one round so we don't drag this out and Xi can just wait his turn" I felt Zari tense in worry and looked for her second chance mate he looked like he was itching to come over because I  could see he just wanted to comfort her. 

I guess he sensed me looking so he shot me a glare to which I returned linking him now that I was a part of his pack 

'come over here there's a spot next to her' he looked a little relieved 

'I wish I could but I have to watch over the fight'

He looked pensive and said with a smirk "Do as she says let's see if she can take you both" I looked over at the touch of someone lifting my legs it was Xoila. She moved them so she could sit down she didn't look nervous in the least which made me feel bad for the 2 guys that were about to take on Stacy. "Hey Xo I'm still your guard doesn't matter who my Alpha is my loyalty will always go to you"  She smiled and nodded but her gazed snapped back to the circle when we heard

"Begin!"

Both contenders immediately charged at Stacy then suddenly Xoila broke her silence "you know the thing about Stacy... is she's really strong" I look back over and one of the guys grabbed Stacy's shoulder but in one swift moment she threw him over her shoulder with ease and then she jumped on his stomach and roundhouse kicked the other guy in the face. She landed and kicked the guy she threw over her shoulder in his jaw successfully knocking him out. 

The other guy grabbed her ankle pulling her down but if he thought he was fast Stacy was faster in a flash she wrapped both her legs around his neck locking them in place 

he tried to knock her off by punching her tights but she wouldn't budge and his attacks looked to get weaker and weaker until he went limp.

Then Stacy stood up victorious everyone cheered for the small she-wolf but then there was instant silence as Xipil walked into the ring everyone watched him carefully as he approached Stacy he bowed like a gentleman and looked to De La Rosa who spoke 

"Okay, little one go easy on my cousin he is only human after all" Xipil scowled at Cuauhtemoc but didn't say anything just taking his stance and looking at Stacy who looked a little shocked I think about the cousin part but I do kind of see the resemblance.

"Ready?"

They both looked at him nodding

"Fight"

This time Stacy didn't hold back and started to throw punch after punch while taking blow after blow because even though Xipil was human his speed and recovery was remarkable. Stacy dodged his next blow by slightly moving back and following through with a punch in the right side of his face and then a kick in the back of the knees he bends down on impact and she kneed his chin and he fell back but as he was about to get up and Stacy got ready to deliver her knockout blow De la Rosa called "Welcome Stacy Noir"

Stacy stopped bowed slightly and outstretching her hand to Xipil who took it and stood up. She held up both their hands and everyone cheered then I felt my legs move and heard Xoila say "Guess this is my cue"

Putting her hair up in a ponytail and walked towards the circle once she got there she patted both Xipil and Stacy on the back "Good fight" Stacy smiled and walked towards Zari and me claiming Xoilas spot. Xipil patted her back and said, "Good luck" walking over to us too, and sitting in the empty spot next to Zari.

"I see the people you brought with you are highly promising and I was going to put you up against Ramon but he still isn't back and if your friends pack a punch I can't imagine what their leader can do." That name made my heart flutter but it quickly went back to normal when Cuauhtemoc smiled and stood walking towards the circle "which is why you'll be fighting me" he smirked a little too confidently and lowered his gaze to meet Xoilas eyes. 

Xoila simply nodded her hands in her pockets, Cuauhtemoc took his stance and Xoila stayed the same then suddenly without warning he swung but missed because Xoila dodged it. He swung again and she dodges. It quickly became a pattern seeing as how fluidly she dodged the attacks before suddenly Xoila swung back landing a hit in his jaw. 

He looked baffled because I'm sure he didn't expect that. He turned his head back in her direction earning an uppercut, he stumbled back again but recoiled and tried to hit her again but she was like water between cracks in concrete and dodged it easily. 

Then he kicked her legs and the shock apparent in her eyes as she was falling. Recovering quickly she caught herself with her hands pushing back up gaining momentum and kicking him in the jaw landing back on the ground like Catwoman. 

She sent him flying into some pack members knocking them down. His fall didn't last long as He quickly sat up and launched himself back towards Xoila who ran towards him. She jumped and tackled him wrapping her arm around his legs, flipping him over her shoulder. 

He landed with a loud slam and then Xoila slammed her foot on his throat and rested her elbow on her knee "so Memo am I in or do you want me to knock you out" her expression unamused but her gaze told a different story as she looked down at him. 

He looked like he was struggling to breathe but he smiled accepting defeat and put his hands up in surrender Xoila got off her knee standing up straight removing her foot releasing him and giving him a hand up which he held pulling himself up

"499 victories and 1 defeat welcome to Circo De La Rosa Xoila Savage" he let go of her hand she bowed like a gentleman excusing herself and walking over to us. Cuauhtemoc smiled and outstretched his hands like the ringmaster of a Circus saying "Now welcome your new Pack mates and soon to be Luna" everyone cheered and congratulated us verbally and through the pack link.

Cuauhtemoc flinched and looked at Zari whose expression was unreadable but he looked over at the rest of us "I'll let you all know where you've been assigned" suddenly a group burst into the room.

"Alpha the package is secured," said one of the many men walking in. Then suddenly the scent of hyacinth, a hint of honey and oak took over my senses, and then I heard the loveliest voice "Alpha everything seems to be in order, I heard you got new recruits did you put them through the te-" I jumped off the couch and stood. 

I followed the voice and there I saw him. Pale skin, dark brown almond eyes with specs of blue with thick lashes surrounding them, hypnotic plump lips, and black wavy hair parted to the side. It looked like it would be soft to the touch and the urge to run my fingers through it grew stronger and so did the need to hold him close.

I felt sparks and I'm not sure when but I got so close but his slender 5’9 frame fit perfectly in mine as I wrapped an arm around his waist. I couldn’t believe it... It finally happened... I finally found him. 

Caressing his once pale now soft rosy cheek whispering 

"Mine"

He gazed through his lashes blush covering his cheeks as he purred "Yours"  snuggling into my embrace. I suddenly remembered where I was and I heard someone say

"Holy s**t" and turned to see Xoila

“Zen you" and looked to my other side and saw Stacy

"You found your Mate" it was to voices and I looked over and saw Zari who blushed and De la Rosa who looked amused because they said it in perfect sync.

I looked down at the beauty in my arms and Welly howled in joy 

"My mate"
