Ch 27 Oh s**t

Chapter 27

•XOILA•

I sat up stretching wondering what year it was. I scratched my head and yawned loudly getting out of bed and looked around my room admiring the feeling of finally being home. After settling in with Oris I felt like Stacy and I finally had a place we could call home and where we could be ourselves.

Without the fear of getting hit... on a less drastic note, Zen and Zari moved out to live with their mates about 2 and a half years ago so our small friend group is down to two. 

I stood and walked into my bathroom closing the door behind me I started to wash my face thinking about how much our lives have changed since leaving the Stark Pine pack.

I mean Oris is all busy with pack duties being the Beta and all which must be hard due to his Alpha Nature. Speaking of Alphas I wonder how our grandad is doing? If he even remembers Oris or how he’s doing? Suddenly my thoughts are interrupted “Hey Xo I’m bored”

I rinsed and dried my face and turned to open the bathroom door walking out to see Stacy who’s lying on my bed with her feet against the wall and her head and back on the mattress “Okay well do you wanna go to Zari’s house?” since I couldn’t think of anything else.

Stacy looked pensive and then shook her head, “I don’t want to interrupt family time, Zari’s baby boy Rio is only a few months old plus she still has to look after Roman who’s just a one year old” then I thought,

“Why don’t we go see what Memos doing” to which she immediately said “Alpha wanted to spend more time with his pups and Luna, So Oris is busy taking over Alpha duties and before you bring up Zen he’s busy taking over Beta duties and Ramon is looking after their baby Josephine and Zinna’s helping him out since he and Zen are both guys so, in theory, they don't know what to do to look after a girl. Plus Zinna is also looking after Magnolia since Mago is with Xi while he covers for Zen” 

I let out a sigh We suck we don’t have any other friends and walked over to sit next to Stacy, we didn’t have much to do with us being out of work at the moment. Since we work for the council as Memo’s underlings there hasn’t been any request and we help run pack training but since it starts at 6:00 am and ends before 10:00 am, we have nothing to do after except attend the meeting Xi has to assign patrols. 

Patrols to which we never get to participate in because when we asked if we could go too Xi says no even though we ask every time and remind him that we have enough strength to take out a whole armada he still says no with a tone of finality.

The only reason he refuses is that he doesn’t want to worry Oris who is already stressed as it is and having all the manpower he needed for patrols we had to reluctantly leave meetings after dismissal and just wander around and greet pack members.

I stared at the ceiling trying to think of something to do other than watch Netflix then I thought of something I felt like I would soon regret “ Hey Stace why don’t we go to the mall or something?” then Stacy shot out of her position and then turned to look at me with sparkling eyes “Did you really just say let’s go to the mall?”

I just internally groaned and said “Well, yeah we have a lot of money to blow why not splurge on some clothes and I dunno maybe a hair cut too?” to say her eyes were gleaming was an understatement she shot out of my room yelling “I'M JUST GONNA CHANGE! PUT SOMETHING NICER ON TOO!” 

I couldn’t help the smile rolling my eyes and yelled back “WHOSE CAR ARE WE TAKING?” you could hear her shuffling as I got out of bed “OBVIOUSLY YOURS SO THAT I CAN BE DJ!” I walked over to my closet opening the door and pulling out a pair of high waisted jeans, a black Panic at the Disco T-shirt, some alien ankle socks and my black slip on vans. 

After I put those on I decided to do my makeup applying foundation and then lightly filling in my eyebrows, I put on some concealer and blend it out I added a bit of setting powder and dusting off the excess added a bit of highlight and very light mascara since my eyelashes were pretty thick and long naturally.

Then I did a simple loose side braid and put on the necklace Zinna gave me it was a mood stone that had a silver crescent moon that hung on a woven black leather chain. Stacy had the matching one similar to mine hers was on a woven brown leather chain and her mood stone has the sun on it. 

I switched off my vanity lights and Stacy walked in wearing her black band tour 5SOS hoodie, some ripped skinny jeans and some classic Uggs. Her hair was up in two puffy buns and was wearing some clear lip gloss and I couldn’t help myself

“Hey Stacy can you please let me put some highlight and mascara on you?” she looked up from her phone and shrugged so I got to work. 

Once I was done “hey you ready to go because I just finished making the playlist” I nodded and picked up my black coffin wallet, a dark gray zip-up and grabbed my car keys, and googled the nearest mall as we walked down the stairs and quickly grabbed an apple and walked out of the house locking the door going to the car and getting in.

I set my phone in the holster and turned off the Bluetooth so Stacy could connect and then switched back to maps and clicked on the nearest option. She press play and Youngblood started playing as I headed north grateful that Oris didn’t live on Pack territory. 

We drove for 30 minutes until Valentine started to play pulling into the mall parking lot singing at the top of our lungs. 

“I can take you out, 

oh-oh

We can kill some time, 

stay home

Throw balloons, teddy bears and the chocolate eclairs await

Got nothing but love for you, fall more in love every day

Valentine!!!” 

I pulled into the nearest parking space and we got out of the car putting everything in Stacy's Pineapple backpack. We wandered through stores and randomly bought things we didn't need Like I bought a brand new laptop and some Steven universe merch like pins and more T-Shirts. Stacy, on the other hand, bought some cute crop tops and a pack of avocado socks.

We called it quits walking out of Spencers and were headed to Oldnavy when we walked by a hair salon Stacy stopped and looked over “Hey I’ve kinda always wanted to get my hair braided professionally... wanna go in?” 

I nodded, I looked at the Salon the words NIGHT in bold bright Yellow cursive letters and like a moth to a flame that was feeling a strong urge to do just that and we walked in. A bell chimed greeting us at the entrance we looked around taking in the classic salon vibe appreciating the blacks and whites of the room instead of pink like most “Female” run salons. 

Then we noticed the 6-foot tall curvy hairdresser whose yellow hair was piled at the top of her head with curly wisps sticking out in different directions she looked to be taking inventory. “She must just opening up” was what Stacy whispered while looking at me excitedly I only nodded in agreement.  We both looked up and were met with a 100-kilowatt smile and deep almond shaped azure eyes that flickered between their natural color and lime

“Oh! You’re like me! Hello little wolves my name Octavia what can I do you for?” Stacy’s eyes sparkled and the scent of Blackthorn wood, honeysuckle, and water lilies wafted in the air. She was wearing a white off the shoulder crop top and some cute light washed high waisted jeans and yellow high top Nike’s. 

She was the definition of thicC baby girl with a capital C at the end, she had curves in all the right places then she giggled a child-like giggle and I couldn’t help the blush that crept on my face I'm sure she caught me looking.

Then Stacy finally spoke saving me from embarrassment “I want to get my hair braided think you could handle this mess?” she gestured to her hair then Octavia moved to touch Stacy’s hair “Leave it to me doll I deal with mine every day” and she then motioned for Stacy to sit down, I moved to sit in one of the waiting areas and as she got to work. 

20 minutes later she let Stacy get up who was fangirling about how long her hair looked “Dude look at my hair look at how long and flowy it looks” I looked up from the magazine I had picked up 5 minutes ago and smiled at her what used to be a wild curly hair was now in neat singles. “What about you baby girl what can I do you for?”

I looked over at Octavia and smiled “I want you to cut my hair” She nodded “Oooh I haven’t gotten to do that yet what did you have in mind?” I could hear her excitement and I said: “ I want it to be short.” 

Octavia nodded and motioned for me to sit in the barber chair “How short? Just a trim? Bob Cut?” I looked at her and smiled “Pixie” her eyes glimmered and she turned me around away from the mirror getting to work “You know its really uncommon for a female werewolf to have short hair” I simply smiled “Well hair grows back and I really wanted to try something new for the uncommon me” then she smiled warmly. 

As the minutes went by, I suddenly felt lighter than about 20 minutes later she smiled at me brightly “I gotta say baby girl the style suits you” and she spun me to look at my reflection. Same droopy green eyes and lush plump lips and now the she-wolf in front of me had a defined jawline and prominent cheekbones on full display. She then flashed a Colgate total smile and gushed “Thank you!” to Octavia as she dusted me off, she smiled her 100-kilowatt smile. 

“It’s no problem come back when you need a trim and if the shops closed come by my pack” she set down her used supplies and walked over to her white marble counter that had a vintage copper black register on it and grabbed her business card the were on display next to so bright blue roses.

She briskly walked back over and hading one to Stacy and then one to me, Her card had the word Night in black ink the bold cursive seemed to pop in contrast to the bright yellow of the card I turned it over and it said 

Octavia Night, Pine Wood Mall, her store phone number, and social media accounts. 

“I will it was nice to meet you” then Stacy bounced on her toes “I will too! You braid my hair so fast!” Octavia laughed and said “Well gotta use that werewolf speed to my advantage” then with a wink she gave us each our totals which we gladly paid and each gave her a 20$ tip. We waved goodbye as we walked out walking to the Old Navy and then buying some more jeans and hoodies of various colors. 

Once Stacy was satisfied we finally left and then shoved everything in the car hopping in and heading to IN and OUT and to buy some food. When we got our food we parked and ate in the car once I finished the last of my fries then started to head home as we drove on a Pine Tree surrounded road.

I felt Isa stir but she didn’t say anything, she just felt agitated so I glanced over to Stacy “Hey I think Isa wants to go for a run” Stacy looked at me with sparkling eyes “I think Mai does too! She's all weird and pacey” I nodded and turned into the next dirt road.

This was probably part of the forest near home but about 60 miles from the house, I parked my jeep after getting about 3 miles away from the main road and looked to Stacy “ Hey wanna shift here?” she nodded “Might as well that way we can leave our stuff here and be back in…” then she glanced at her phone "how about an hour?”

I nodded and got out of the car opening the door and pulling off my clothes Stacy mirrored my actions and we both shifted the sound of bones popping and realigning was all that could be heard. I then moved back and closed the door of the car using my head and went around to the front of the car to look at Stacy and she had her backpack on

‘I thought we were leaving our stuff in the car?’ I couldn’t help but be curious although Mai did look cute wearing a backpack

‘Well we don’t know who could be around here’ she said rather sheepishly

‘I guess... what's in the bag?’ I gave her a wolfish grin

‘Our phones some shirts and your Car keys’ she tilted her head

‘Oh yeah I'm glad you put them in your bag’ she just shook her head

‘No problem now let’s go run!’ she said with a glint in her eyes

 Stacy took off running and I quickly followed we ran around Playfully nipping at one another then suddenly we saw a very unusual butterfly that had royal blue wings. I took one look at Stacy and then we both ran after it, the butterfly flew rather swiftly and would doge our playful nips with ease.

Stacy linked ‘You know what Xo I’ve decided that I'm gonna kidnap Calum hood’

I turned fairly confused before asking 

‘Why? Aren’t you gonna wait for your mate?’

She let out an exasperated mental sigh

‘Yeah but my mates taking too long... I'm starting to think I don't have one’ which made Mai whine

I focused back on the butterfly almost catching it as I replied

‘Well, you’re not wrong... I can't help but feel the same thing’ causing Isa to growl

Stacy simply nodded and then said

‘Which is why I'm gonna kidnap Calum Hood and hope he falls in love with me’

Before I could counter we heard a low growl stopping us to stand side by side and suddenly surrounded by other wolves who all shifted pulling on shorts

‘Holy! Xo, why are they all so hot!’

I couldn’t handle it and let out a wolfy chuckle which caused the male to glare at us “Get them.” we shifted and Stacy quickly tossed a shirt at me that I quickly pulled down over my head it came down almost to my knees 

"Woah what seems to be the problem?" She shouted at the angry dude which caused him and the other wolves to stop in their tracks. I looked at the angry dude who said "you are trespassing on pack lands filthy rouges"

Stacy gasped and then I said quickly "We didn't realize we entered your pack lands and we aren’t rouges to put it simply we were?" I felt my face get hot in embarrassment "we were-" but then angry dude interrupted "I don't want to hear your excuses" he quickly turned to his men and growled 

"GET THEM" 

Stacy looked at them as they ran to us 

'If we get caught I don't think Oris will approve'

I felt a chill at the lecture that would await us for venturing too far and nodded in agreement 

'They asked for it'

We let out a low warning growls and the group of males growled back arms open ready to grab on to us. I swiftly moved out the first one's way and he zoomed past me Stacy mirrored my actions as we tried to run out of their way moving swiftly since we're lighter in human form.

Then one of them growled in annoyance and snarled "Fine we'll do this the hard way" and he charged at me swinging which he missed causing his irritation to grow as he swung again, I moved out of the way and his punch landed on one of the other guys.

Which made me laugh and Stacy cackled then she tensed an "Uh oh" as she noticed the arms that were going around her and quickly ducked kicking the guy's feet out from under him and swiftly backing up and landing in front of me.

I sensed a guy running towards me and I saw the other running behind Stacy she must have sensed them too because she smirked '

They asked for it'  

I sent her a mental smirk 

'They sure as hell did'  

I simply put my hands together and Stacy ran to me stepping into my hands gaining momentum as I flung her up making her flip kick the guy behind her in the process. 

I turned quickly and hit the guy behind me full force with a roundhouse kick as annoyance got the better of me and I growled out "We were chasing a f*****g butterfly okay! We didn't realize we were on your f*****g lands" 

I let my power show through which caused these men to flinch then Stacy placed a comforting hand on my shoulder saying laughing " And planning to kidnap Calum Hood you bunch of p*****s" she laughed a little harder "We just haven't finalized the details-" she was interrupted by a low rumbling growl.

We hear a low growl and my senses were overrun by the most delicious scent it was oakmoss, applewood, and amber-patchouli so intoxicating I felt high. Then for the first time in a while, Mai spoke or more like shouted 

'MATE!' 

I turned with Xoila to see who had growled.

the guy was gorgeous

Buff build 6'5 Tan skin, broad shoulders, a six-pack to die for, dirty blond hair, ocean blue eyes, defined jawline, and cheekbones this guy looked like a handsome sculpture. He stalked over to us like a predator to his prey and my heart started pounding "what's this about kidnapping Calum hood?" 

He towered over me looking down with a smirk and caressed my face "why not kidnap me". My knees felt weak and his touch was like an electric shock causing my legs to give out making me fall on my ass. 

Xoila quickly moved to my side growling at this delicious man then I mumbled "I can't kidnap Calum hood anymore" she looked at me confused 

'Hey Stacy is he your-' she stopped mid-sentence flinching hard, her droopy eyes got droopier if that was even possible. 

Confused I followed her gaze avoiding the delicious dude and looked to where the delicious blonde had appeared from and there stood a darker than the night-black wolf that radiated power.

He must be the Alpha

I watched Stacy fall on her ass after the handsome surfer dude caressed her, he oozed authority and power. He was either the Delta or the Beta of the pack but I wouldn't let it bother me. Titles don't mean s**t right now. I quickly moved to her side growling at this man to which he chuckled in return looking at Stacy lovingly making me realize

Oh, s**t is this guy her mate!?

then I heard her mumble "I can't kidnap Calum hood anymore." I looked at her confusion gracing my features 

'Hey Stacy is he your-' and then I flinched my eyes felt heavy. I looked to the source and there stood a darker than the night-black wolf that radiated power than with no warning Isa shouted 

'MATE!' 

My eyes widen as his scent finally hit me like a ton of bricks Blackthorn wood, smokey lavender, and Whiskey some would think that it's a strong scent but it was addictive and made my knees weak. 

I thanked the goddess I was already on the forest floor because I'm sure my legs would have given out I watched him as he watched me then suddenly he shifted making me avert my eyes as he pulled on his shorts I looked back up.

 The wolf was replaced by 6’7 built body with broad shoulders, defined 6 pack, sharp jawline, and features as if he was carved from stone and his deep Azure almond-shaped eyes glowed as the light hit them, long black curly hair glistened and his Tan skin and 5 o'clock shave made me melt wondering how it would feel under my fingers. 

This man's aura was heavy, screamed power, and authority 

It made me feel hot and I... never in my life have I felt such a thing before 

Coming away from my thoughts those familiar azure eyes were right in front of me. So much happiness in them that it would have shocked me but then he suddenly scooped me up in his strong arms. Sparks erupted everywhere making me shiver in delight when I heard him mumble

 "I finally found you"
