JANICE'S POV The apartment feels smaller these days, not because anything has changed, but because Eden is here so often that his coffee mug somehow always ends up beside mine, his suit jacket is permanently hanging over the dining chair and Jack has started calling out, "Dad!" before I even realize Eden has walked through the front door. It should feel strange after everything we've been through, yet somehow it feels frighteningly natural. Jack claps his hands together during breakfast and grins so hard his cheeks turn pink.
