Chapter 40: His 'brilliant' plan

Shen Baiyu didn't say anything in reply, but she continues to stare at Crown Prince Beitang Moran as he continues to stare at her too. It has become a game of mind in-between them to see who will look away first but, so far, neither one is giving up.

Crown Prince Beitang Moran turns his head to look at Mu Heli. He nods his head and proposed a toast to Mu Heli who does the same thing as well. This has been noticed by Shen Baiyu who turns her head to look at her cousin brother too. Something inside her heart tells her that these 2 handsome men are quite familiar with each other.

"Cousin brother... You seem quite familiar with His Highness. Please do not tell me that this, all of these are results of your 'brilliant' work."

Mu Heli then looks at his cousin sister apologetically before he pretended to be busy with his wine.

"Dearest beloved cousin brother of mine... You will pay for this. Your Highness, same goes for you too."

Noticing the odd yet somewhat terrifying tone of hers made Mu Heli laughs nervously as he turns his head to look at Crown Prince Beitang Moran who is ignoring him as he stares pleading at Shen Baiyu.

Seeing this made Princess Hong Meigui laughs and says, "Eldest Miss Shen is indeed very interesting. I guess I will be staying in the imperial city for the time being so that I will not miss out the fun."
