Chapter 26: Aurelia Michael Shen Baiyu in the flesh

Shen Baiyu closes her eyes in fear... In this where the other Shen Baiyu live? Everything is so different from her time. The older yet beautiful woman is definitely this original body's mother. The handsome man is the older brother. She was told by her to use her body for time being to prevent her body to perish. She also told her to pretend that she lost her memory in the accident. What did Aurelia say? Amnesia? Though these strangers speak a foreign language. "Marc, the doctor told me that Baiyu has already waked up. Is she alright?" Micheal Shen Yinglie asked his son as he sits next to his wife.

"She seems to be... But she seems to be acting a bit weird. It might be the after effect of the accident. She definitely needs more time to rest, dad."

"Yinglie... Baiyu seems to act not like herself. She screamed for goodness sake. Our daughter never screams. She did not even cry when I gave birth to her."

"My dear, she will be alright. Baiyu is a fighter. She has always been physically and mentally strong, unlike others. She can get through this."

Shen Baiyu continues to pretend to sleep as she continues listening to their conversations. Her assumption is right after all. The older Shen Baiyu is everything that she is not. Women in this time seem to be living in a rather carefree life unlike those during her time. Older Shen Baiyu is older than her but still remains unmarried. Whereas she has been engaged to the crown prince before being cast aside by him. She has been raised to be his wife, but he cruelly abandoned her during her wedding day. He even has the audacity to bring another girl back to their kingdom and declared that the new girl is the love of life. Truthfully, she has never even loved that man. She nearly dies due to extreme anger kept deep inside her heart for years. The anger and embarrassment nearly caused her to lose her meaningless life. Old Shen Baiyu told her to live her life and, along the way, learn to be a better person. Maybe living here will not be a bad thing after all. Now, she has to wait for Dahlia to come. Old Shen Baiyu told that she can trust that person.

"Good afternoon, uncle and aunty. Good day to you, Marc. I am here! All of you can go home and take a rest now… I will accompany Aurelia here while you’re not around. Go ahead… Take a good rest. All of you deserve it."

Amelie Joseph-Shen smiles at the new arrival and says, "Dahlia. There you are... She is sleeping at the moment."

"That's good. It is quite a bore without her in the office." Dahlia said with a smile on her face.

"We will leave now, Dahlia. Please take care of her. We will come back later in the evening."

"Aunty, you have been taking care of her for days now. You should take a good rest. Uncle must have been tired from work as well."

Michael Shen Yinglie smile and gently pulls her wife so that she will come back with him, "Do take care, Dahlia. Let us know if there is anything. Marc, let us go."

With those parting words, the whole family is no longer in the room. Dahlia stands there with her back facing the bed for a few minutes as she watches the Shen's family members vanish from her sight. Once she is convinced that they already left, she turns her back to before walking toward the bed.

"Leader wakes up. Stop pretending to sleep. Wake up." Dahlia said.

Shen Baiyu slowly opens up her eyes and stare at the beautiful lady standing next to the bed. She takes a deep breath and says, "I am not her... She told that you are the person that I should discuss with regarding this bizarre matter."
