Chapter 18: The devil!!!

"Baiyu, you are obviously fond of that gentleman. The very same gentleman that Lianhua has been rambling about yesterday for the whole day till night. Saying that he possesses a look that can rival a certain someone. Father and mother are quite impressed with this gentleman. It seems that there is a light at the end of the tunnel after all..."

Shen Baiyu looks at her (supposedly) older brother and says, "Older brother, that 'gentleman' you are talking about it practically a stranger to me. I have never even heard of him before..."

Captain Shen Yili look at her and asks, "Really? What is his name? That silly girl kept talking about him to us, but she forgot to tell us his name."

Xue Ke Ai who has been listening to their conversation joins in by saying, "Young master Shen, that gentleman introduced himself only as Moran. I never heard of him too."

Captain Shen Yili suddenly stopped smiling and further ask, "Moran?"

Shen Baiyu nonchalantly answers, "Yes, that is indeed his name that he told us. As I have said, I do not know this man..."

Captain Shen Yili softly sigh and says, "I guess this is fate then... Seems like he is indeed sincere in getting acquainted with you. Treat him well. After all, he is one of the few that do not judge you based on baseless rumours."

"I am trying... But he can be quite annoying. Always smiling and staring at me. What is he anyway? A psychopath?"

Captain Shen Yili and Xue Ke Ai are both staring at her questioningly. Xue Ke Ai then says, "Older sister Baiyu is indeed quite fascinating... Isn't that right, Young Master Shen?"

"You are absolutely right, First Miss Xiao. My eldest younger sister is a bit odd these days but I think that the changes are good for her sake."

"My family members are quite taken by older sister Baiyu too. My father even said that if older sister Baiyu is a man, her abilities will be endless."

Shen Baiyu then softly laughs, "Ke Ai... Even as a woman, my abilities can be endless too. Do not think that women are anything less than men. We might not be as physically strong as them, but we can use our brains and charms to get what we want. A charming woman with an excellent mind can change the whole game."

Captain Shen Yili then gently pats her head, "Baiyu, is that why you want to be trained in martial arts?"

Shen Baiyu pinches her cheek and says, "I will... One step at a time. Let us continue our training, shall we?"

Captain Shen Yili then says, "We will focus on hand movements for today..."

The man in black-coloured outfit then vanishes into the thin airs. Crown Prince Beitang Moran is still smiling as he stares towards the direction of Shen Residence.

"Baiyu... This prince will make sure that you will be his rightful crown princess and the future empress of his kingdom. I have to thanks that i***t for letting go of you without the need of this prince to do anything. I thought that my visit here would be a bore, but then I met you. You really are as intriguing as you are charming. Life with you will never be mundane."

As both young misses are training diligently under the watchful eyes of Captain Shen Yili, Shen Baiyu suddenly stumbles before kneeling on one knee while on of her hand is using the sword to support her. Moli immediately runs to her side to check on her condition.

"Eldest Miss, are you alright? Do you need a short break?"

"I am fine, Moli... I suddenly feel extreme chills in my body..."

Captain Shen Yili then says, "I think this is enough for today. All of you should return home and take a good rest. When you are free, you can practice the techniques on your own. Moli, take Baiyu home and let her take her herbal concoction."

"Noted, Young Master."

All three girls then left the training camp, but someone is coming towards the training camp and that someone made Shen Baiyu snort in disgust.

"Just my luck to encounter this stumbling block... Let us walk using the opposite direction. I do not wish to entertain him."

They then turn their backs on him before a stern voice could be heard saying, "First Miss Xiao is indeed quite daring not to greet this prince. Even if you are engaged to my second brother, you still have to greet me out of respect as the rightful crown prince of this kingdom."

Shen Baiyu then takes a white veil from Moli before she calmly covers her head with it. After making sure that her whole head has been covered, she then turns her body to face that dreadful man.

"You are blaming the wrong person, Your Royal Highness... It is I who wanted to walk the opposite direction upon seeing you are coming from the opposite way. This humble being is not worthy to be showing herself to the rightful crown prince of our kingdom."

Crown Prince Nangong Yingjun look at her, "It is indeed you. The rumours that have been saying that you are suddenly showing up yourself in public ever more often these days are correct after all..."

Crown Prince Nangong Yingjun sharply stares at the veiled lady standing before him.
