“This is so unfair!" Avalon muses, wearing her signature smile with those big cratered dimples. I shrug, showing no mercy. “You said if I beat you, you would take a shot," I fight back, pointing toward the cooler full of Apple 99's. The girl groans, before grabbing one of the small bottles and heading for the register. I glance around the small gas station while Avalon pays, noticing the random knick-knacks placed all around the store. “You ready?" Avalon asks suddenly, bringing me back to reality. I nod and follow her out of the store. The night air hits us forcefully, and I zip up my jacket while we walk. At the start of the night, we planned on grabbing a bite to eat at Mario's on fifth ave.
