***LUCAS POV*** I enter my house, slamming the heavy wooden door behind me. The sound reverberates through the whole house matching the rage I am feeling. I haven’t been back to the mansion in a week and even though it still looked the same, large, luxurious and majestic it now feels like a cold, lifeless cage and nothing about it feels like home anymore. I fling my car keys carelessly and they clatter on the glass table, my fingers in anger and exhaustion. The keys slide across the polished surface, their metallic jingle echoing and I grain in frustration. Nothing prepared me for the level of pain that's been gnawing at my chest for weeks.
