***SYLVIA’S POV*** I sit on the cold chair, my body bound by tight ropes that cut into my skin. The room feels like a prison, the air heavy with tension and fear. "Lucien, please," I beg, my voice trembling. "You have to give me the antidote. I can't die like this." From the look in his eyes, though, I can see that he isn't even listening to me. His gaze is distant, as if he's lost in his own thoughts, his own turmoil. "You're a monster, Sylvia," he says, his voice laced with accusation. I nod, tears welling up in my eyes.
