Elizabeth’s POV
We leave the cabin and start our journey back to the clearing. Kyle’s somber mood I’ve been feeling all day, seemed to have lifted slightly. There’s no sound except our footsteps. “And it’s very eerie”, Lacey says, coming forward in my mind to look out at the people standing and waiting for Ezekial to attack.
Eerie isn’t the word I would use regarding the silence. Uncomfortable, nauseating, unnerving. ‘I get the picture. Josiah is on edge too,’ Kyle’s thought comes through my mind. “Change of plans. We will be standing in front. Get into your positions if it doesn’t work.”
“What doesn’t work?” Queen Ava of the Siren’s asks.
“What us as future leaders need to do” Princess Victoria tells her aunt.
