Chills travelled down my spine with every brush of the broom that I made, with every shard of glass that the broom hooked on before it moved it to the side. My back had started to ache already, my neck pulling stiff every time that I stood more upright than I had before. But I wasn’t going to allow that to break me down, to slow me down, because the point of the matter was that I needed to get it done, that I needed to clean up all of this glass. I knew that it was a lot to hope for that I would be able to finish it today, but I also knew that the longer I remained motivated, the longer I allowed myself to push through all of this, the better it would be in the long run. The less glass that there was laying around, the less likely it would be that I would end up getting hurt when I tried
