He took a slight step away, adding a little more distance between them. “Sorry, ma'am, I can wait out here.” “That is not what I meant and you know it!” she snapped, her tones still lowered. She bit her lower lip as if trying to decide what she could do about his unwelcome presence. She knew of one who could walk the boundaries unaffected by the seal, but he did not possess this gift. Everything she saw within his aura said he was bound like the rest of his kind. The fact he now stood at her door did not bode well. “He's assisting me with a job,” Rob called from the table he had very quickly made himself comfortable at. “Our interests align.
