Chapter Twenty-Four
StratagemRob sat near the ruins of Maxwell Radillion's once glorious mansion. Lord Radillion had been appointed by the, now deceased, King of Therascia to be the governor for the Northern regions. He had sought to elevate himself above the common-folk and had requested this residence as a sign of his superior status.
Since his assassination, many years ago, no one had cause to visit this location. His once fine manor had been reduced to stone and cinder, and lay now weathered by age and stripped of anything of value. People had gathered like carrion birds to pick through the remains.
