But it was not their cacophony which had stilled him. It was the lights; the same ones he had witnessed from the ship. Altitude gave this display a fresh perspective. It was not as random as he had thought. The deep and dazzling shades outlined a border, a meshing of two similar energies. One which expanded from the temple and another, which by Bray's visual assessment, originated from a large antiquated building. The two forces reached out to one another expelling a web of destruction of the likes rarely witnessed. The crumbling of nearby arches pulled him from his dazed appreciation.
