HAZEL’S POV
“The boss!” Josephine exclaimed again, in total shock. I had to hold back a laugh at her expression.
“You have to promise not to tell anybody. Not even Martha.”
“I won’t, I promise. But you have to give me all the details. How did this happen and right under all our noses? I can’t believe I didn’t figure it out.” She said,
“It’s a long story, about two weeks long.”
“Two weeks? You have only been working here for two weeks.”
I was quiet. The way she said it made me feel silly. It occurred to me that I had not known Aziel for very long and I was falling for him very fast.
“Yes, I know. Things happened very fast. I still don’t know how it happened.”
I was unable to stop the excitement in my voice. It felt good to be able to open up to someone about all of this.
