AZIEL’S POV
It was very late at night before I came out of my office and went back to the room to finally talk to Hazel. I reckoned that enough time had passed and she would be calmer. I knew I had a lot to apologise for and I had been running my apologies over and over again in my mind, but when I got to the room, Hazel was not there.
“Hazel,” I called out to her as I walked towards the bathroom and opened it, but she was not there. I tried not to panic because I knew there was no way she would have left the house without me knowing.
I made the trip back down the stairs and walked to the kitchen, thinking she might be there, but she wasn’t.
